If MS was to delay the X1 for 1 year while upgrading the specs in the process(Something twice as powerful as the PS4 would be easy to pull off given the time frame while probably keeping the same price) as well as iron out the OS bugs and XBL. What would be the damage to X1's market share given the PS4's 1 year head start?

It wouldnt surprise me if Sony are still preparing to get PSN ready for the launch... but as this original rumour came from a guy on youtube who also said that the reason why PS4 games were looking worse was because of PSN problems...... well - no way would I believe someone who says that...lol. I would also say that MS's patch is massive in comparison to Sonys, which either suggests they are working faster/harder or have more issues to fix. I dont think anyone is surprised that removing DRM would have been a pain in the ass for the people who worked on it for so long (never good for staff - they might not even agreed that DRM was a good idea, and then they have to pick up the peices.)

The only thing i would say is that MS's solution is way more complicated by its very nature (i.e 3 OS's at one time)... but they do have more knowledge and skills than Sony in this area being an OS company, so who knows... but on the other hand Sony have got an off the shelf OS that's pretty much easy to understand.

As i said, none of this rumour mongering has any benefit if on Day 1, it all works. If it doesnt and people cant play the games as they expect, then the crap *will* hit the fan, and it wont be pretty. This is more serious than GTAV not working on day 1... were talking hundreds of $ worth of kit and accessories/games.

Look the only thing more annoying than constant rumors is the non response they get from companies in this case MS. Look answer the f'ing question straight up if there is no issue. Here is a video of us playing BF4 in 1080 with cross game chat online with a working party system and no errors.

The rumor dies right on the spot. Saying crap like we are playing games every night and people can post stuff does not address any concerns.

Xbox One controllers are failing and not responding well due to cheap construction and materials.  This is why Kinect is being forced because they know the controllers will break and you'll have to use Kinect to play games.

Do any of you folks know what viral marketing agencies do? What i see going on here reminds me of whats going on behind political campaigns. It's not only about fronting the company your agency is payed to front (political party) but also about slandering potential rivals (competitors).

You only have to plant the seed in order to make the peasants go wild. In this case, its easy because of X360's red ring of death problems. When they plant enough doubt among early adopters in this case, it can hurt sales.
