Like you, I don't know one way or the other. Unlike you, I'm not making assumptions without backing. Fact - they didn't go through with it and we never saw any indication that they were going to (regardless of what went on behind the scenes).

I never said you were making assumptions. I was talking about all those others than think it wasen't on Sony's plan. If microsoft would have done it Sony would have too. Look at the features on xbox. Look at what sony is doing. Adding party chat, voice/facial recognition. Features from the xbox that sony is adding at the last minute. Sony would have done DRM also. Plus microsoft would have been making money from DRM and sony loves making money as much as Microsoft does. 

I'm saying YOU are making wild assumptions. This post only continues it. Sony said from Day 1 that DRM would be up to third party devs. No assumptions there. Just because it was Microsoft's plan doesn't mean it was also theirs. They don't exist in a vacuum.

Dude, if you REALLY didn't care about whatever rumors on game consoles, whether they are true or not, then this thread wouldn't have existed.

The people who think it wasn't Sony's plan are fine because there lacks evidence to the contrary (your position). Until you provide some evidence for your claim that it was Sony's plan, there isn't any good reason to believe it. It's certainly possible and I don't think anyone is disputing that, but accepting what Sony has said on the topic is just the norm if we have no information to counter it.

Both companies love cash, no one is arguing that point either.

Just wanted to say thanks, CGI. Had I responded, it would have been a huge waste of my time. Anyway, once again, thanks for being a part of the vgc forums. You bring class here and it's really nice to see someone using facts instead of making assumptions based on their bias.

Sony did have DRM built in. They saw what happened to Microsoft so they aren't gonna say "yes we had DRM built in and were gonna screw you guys over"
I always lol at most users here who believe sony cares about gamers. Sony and microsoft care about their bank accounts.

You have no way of proving Sony had DRM built in and here you are speading more negative rumours in a thread that is trying to stop this.

It is quite annoying isn't it?

I've always found it hilarious when reviewers think they're entitled to free copies of systems of products though.

2. Gives proper booklet / manual with every game (its important for me).

3. Doesnt charge for online (last time I heard).

I agree with all those point but the last. If Nintendo cared so much for us, the Wii-U would have had a 500GB HDD. It wouldn't have had such horriblely slow UI times. It would have been as powerful as the PS4. It would play Blu-Ray movies. They would have made sure their console had the same amount of 3rd party support as the other two. They would have ensured their new cosnole had an equally advanced online infrastructure etc.

Why do I say this? Because the reason they DON'T have all this, is because they care more about their profit margins than us. This non sense about these companies caring about us is just that, non sense.

Yeah. HDD is a problem. It wouldnt be a problem if they give us a built in slot for HDD. Apart from that graphics dont bother me. Super mario galaxy 2 was one of the best looking games of last gen. I had fun with it. Fun is the main factor.
