Who cares if Sony was going to have DRM built in? They took it out and that's what matters. I'm not going to sit here and bitch about Microsoft having DRM and reversing on it, because all that matters is that they didn't go through with it. At the end of the day, we can only judge the consoles once they launch and we have CONCRETE information.
Of course it is fun to watch the meltdowns everytime a new rumor is posted.

2. It's important to some but largely miniscule for most!

At least microsoft is honest about it and they try to make it innovational for gamers. The family sharing plan was gonna be amazing! I hope they do bring that back. Sony is the hypocrit here by not saying what their plan was from the start. I would perfer someone to tell me what their intentions were from the start than someone lie to me.
