Forums - Gaming - Sony and Microsoft are screwed at launch! (according to this guy, also conspiracy about delayed games)

Quite a lot of it seems plausible:

Sony changing DRM policies last minute because they saw the negative feedback Microsoft received. Indeed, that would require major changes to their network system and it would explain why Sony kept their policies secret for quite some time.
However, I dont see why the native resolution of a game would have to be turned down because of network issues.
Although: Wii U Cod 1080p and PS4/XBoX 720p ..... want to see that meltdown!!

yeah

keep dreaming!

sony never kept their policies in secret. since february they keep saying same thing over and over again, but some xbox fans tried to spin

just read this article from february and stop with this bs once and for all

Oh, cool the same guy that revealed* that all Wii U Games would be 1080p and 60Fps

* and by "revealed" i mean guessed

he got the informations from other people, whose names he'll not mention.

When you think my english is bad...sorry for my bad english,    i'm from Germany. And yeees, sorry, that we've almost destroyed the whole world, blahblahblah

It doesn't make any sense. If sony was indeed removing DRM with a Day One patch, you obviously couldn't play games with it until it is patched. But Sony said you can play games without ever going online. So I call Bullshit.

It's true though that the launches will be a bloody mess. But it doesn't need "reliable sources" to know that. Every console launch in history was a mess. Why should it be different this time around?

that may be, but all i know is that he usually talks out of his b*tt and he is the last person i would rely on when it comes to rumors.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Do you want tell me, that Sony clarified the PS4 DRM policies before or simultaneous to Microsoft?

Their policies were at least vague until a month after Microsoft revealed their policies and the shitstorm broke out.

lmao if all this is true it is pretty hilarious xD  Sucks for us people buying next gen stuff but all the stuff we hear from the console wars XD

-PS4 built around DRM
-XBO and PS4 having network issues because of disabling DRM
-XBO and PS4 720p CoDG while WiiU the inferior hardware gets 1080p (So apparently wiiU is mos powerful according to many people)
-Watchdogs delayed because network issues

Im not going to lie, all of this would be absolutely hilarious if true.  Once again it sucks for us gamers buying at launch, but just that all the people that talks shit on a daily basis xD

WiiU FTW!

P.S.  I do hope it is wrong information though.  I would prefer solid launches with minor hiccups rather than a big one.

RTU leaking info? lmao

Does this article confirm OP?! http://www.golem.de/news/playstation-4-viele-funktionen-erst-mit-firmware-1-5-1310-102383.html
Sorry but couldnt find any english source.

It actually seems like you have to patch PS4 to be able to watch DVD/BluRay or play games! This should add quite some credibility to OP!

well his sources clearly are not from EA, dice, sony or guerilla because Killzone SF and battlefield 4 are doing 1080p 60fp online and both look amazing.
Furthermore, the leaked COD ghosts box for PS4 states 1080p, and Adam Boyes confirmed it was native 1080p. if BF4 and KZSF are doing 1080p, but cod isnt, its not to do with sony or the network, its to do with activision/IW.

Even assuming the network was a complete mess for both systems, changing the resolution of the game would have no impact at all.
I do believe the network is in a mess because sony will upgrading it, knowing they will be getting a lot of money from PS+ subs in the near future.

As for the DRM issue, if sony were going to make a stupid move, but didnt announce it and then changed their minds for the better of gaming then I have no problem with that.
Everyone thinks of bad things they could do but if doesnt leave their mind, its fine. I dont think theres a single company in the gaming industry that has not looked into DRM systems which consumers wouldnt want them to see the light of day. I bet even CDprojeckt have...before coming to their conclusion that it doesnt work.

Yes, this guy has already been called out about the 720p Ghost claim and his answer was Boyes was misinformed. His DRM claims are baseless too, but he REALLY wants to push the point. Nonsense.
