1. Super Mario Galaxy
Pure distilled fun, with more creativity and cleverness is single levels than most video games have in their entire length. Everything from the controls, to the music, to the graphics is utterly magical.

2. Super Mario Galaxy 2
It may not have broken ground as spectacularly as its predecessor, but it is no less elegant and masterful.

3. Bioshock
One of the most immersive and enthralling adventures out there, with a tantalising world to explore and dyanmic, intelligent combat.

4. Bioshock Infinite
Carries over the strengths of the original while setting a new NPC gold standard with the heldful and endearing Elizabeth.

5. Bayonetta
In an industry bogged down by dull realism, Bayonetta's absolute refusal to let any semblence of logic interfere with the fun is a breath of fresh air. Doesn't hurt that its also the most fluid and intense action game I've ever had to the pleasure to play.

6. Xenoblade
A sprawling, imaginative world to explore, a lengthy quest, a complex and engaging battle system, a deep story, and a soundtrack to die for.

7. Donkey Kong Country Returns
Brings 2D platforming to whole new level with wonderfully dynamic and interactive environments, devious level design, and the kind of challenge that excites without ever frustrating.

8. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
This is what I dreamed of when I heard about the Wii; a game where I could cut down goblins with the swing of my own arm, and physically interact with a fantastical world. The pinnacle of Nintendo's motion control revolution.

9. Metroid Prime 3 Corruption
Set the standard for first person Wiimote controls, and transports the player to some of the most incredible game worlds I've ever encountered.

10. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The controls may not be as sophisticated as Skyward Sword, but that Nintendo charm and elegance of design still elevates it to greatness.
