Okay, lets go over this again, SLOWLY: As of April first, as stated by the wonderful koffieboon, Wii titles in Japan had only sold 4.6m units, and are now upto around 5.5m as of April 22nd (big increase due to higher Wii shipments and SPM). As of March for VG Charts (remember, VGChartz accounts for the Canadian and American numbers, so your point is invalid about the inaccuracies of VGChartz, as they always overpredict), VGChartz has 9,187,762 software units sold in the USA, Canada and America. So at the end of March (Nintendos reporting period), national tracking services in the US, Canada, Mexico, Latin/South America have accounted for roughly 13.8 million software units sold (including the 2m+ units of Wii Sports pack-in titles in the US and Canada). So we have Europe, Austrailia, and other minor countries needing to account for the rest of the numbers. So again, this proves that Nintendos numbers are shipped and not sold in terms of hardware. 13.8m units between Japan and the US is fantastic. However, it is a blatant lie to believe that the Wiis tier ratio is anywhere near 9 to 10 software titles in the US. Why? Every month, NPD reports actual sellthrough tier ratios. They have stated the Wii in Feb. and Mar. were 2.4 units and 3.0 units (not counting Wii Sports). If it was anywhere near 10, it would be 10, but its not. The PS2 had a tier ratio of around 11 units during its ENTIRE LIFETIME. It is a mathmatical impossibility for the Wii to obtain that kind of tier ratio within 6 months of its start. Its not about being pro or anti-nintendo, but to deal with the cold hard facts. So the facts are: Nintendo SOLD or GAVE 13.8 million games (at most) in North and South America, and Japan from November to March on the Wii console. The burden of proof is on you, sir, to account for the missing 15 million games.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
