Ummm... I just stated that the Wii sold or gave away 9.1m units of software in North America. That is on 2.4 million systems, or under a 3.8 attach ratio, and Japan it's a bit less. I never said that the tier ratio was anywhere near bad for the Wii. Also, I don't believe I had the Wii at a 2.0 tier ratio (Wii Sports + Wii play in Japan are nearly 1.5 of their entire tier ratio right now). What matters is the fact that the ratio is around 3.75 globally. Now, I won't argue if this is a good number or not, because the Wii has sold alot of systems, so it doesn't need a good tier ratio (see Nintendo DS for why). Also, I wonder: If Nintendo said 29m units shipped.....Is that just 29m software titles shipped that Nintendo makes (1st party) or does that include 3rd party?
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
