Okay, lets go over this again, SLOWLY: As of April first, as stated by the wonderful koffieboon, Wii titles in Japan had only sold 4.6m units, and are now upto around 5.5m as of April 22nd (big increase due to higher Wii shipments and SPM). As of March for VG Charts (remember, VGChartz accounts for the Canadian and American numbers, so your point is invalid about the inaccuracies of VGChartz, as they always overpredict), VGChartz has 9,187,762 software units sold in the USA, Canada and America. So at the end of March (Nintendos reporting period), national tracking services in the US, Canada, Mexico, Latin/South America have accounted for roughly 13.8 million software units sold (including the 2m+ units of Wii Sports pack-in titles in the US and Canada). So we have Europe, Austrailia, and other minor countries needing to account for the rest of the numbers. So again, this proves that Nintendos numbers are shipped and not sold in terms of hardware. 13.8m units between Japan and the US is fantastic. However, it is a blatant lie to believe that the Wiis tier ratio is anywhere near 9 to 10 software titles in the US. Why? Every month, NPD reports actual sellthrough tier ratios. They have stated the Wii in Feb. and Mar. were 2.4 units and 3.0 units (not counting Wii Sports). If it was anywhere near 10, it would be 10, but its not. The PS2 had a tier ratio of around 11 units during its ENTIRE LIFETIME. It is a mathmatical impossibility for the Wii to obtain that kind of tier ratio within 6 months of its start. Its not about being pro or anti-nintendo, but to deal with the cold hard facts. So the facts are: Nintendo SOLD or GAVE 13.8 million games (at most) in North and South America, and Japan from November to March on the Wii console. The burden of proof is on you, sir, to account for the missing 15 million games.

I think you missed the point I was trying to convey, even if we accept that the Nintendo financials are shipped and that it isn't 4.9, this point that I made earlier still holds:

No, show the WW software and hardware sales as a whole, I think you'll see that the Wii is doing quite well when the rest of the world is taken into account, not just the one territory that 360 is doing decently in

you stated that the Wii attach ratio had a long ways to go to catch up to the 360 and that it wasn't selling software, but even using your data the Wii attach ratio is much higher than what you were originally stating

using your own data that you just gave, about 4 in Japan, about 9 in the Americas,

and about 7 in Europe and Australia, would still bring you to around 20 million units sold, even your estimates put the Wii with about a 3.4 attach ratio, so yeah it doesn't matter to me if the 28 million is their Shipped, even going by the low end data my original point about your original chart

skewing bias against the Wii still holds (you originally had the tier ratio around 2.0, this is about a game per console extra when the world is brought in),

while the software picture may not be great in the states for the Wii when compared to the 360,

when the rest of the world comes into play the Wii holds up quite well in terms of software sales,

so ok i'll accept that the 28 million is shipped

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
