What are you talking about? Its a new IP that is highly successfull both critically and comercially and he created it. You are just trying to discredit anything he ever did because he said something you dont like about your favorite company

This you see is the classic "Nintedo problem".  A great game that was as you correctly stated a critical and commercial success is considered "nothing to brag about" by what I am assuming ( forgive me if I am wrong ) is a Nintendo supporter.

So in a parallel world if God Of War was a Nintendo game it would have flopped if we take irstupid's opinion of it as general among the Nintendo crowd.

Nintendo fans it seems are hard to please and while some might take this as a positive, financially it can spell a bit of a disaster in the long term.

No i'm just saying I would hardly give someone credit for mashing two things together.

It's not a new unique IP, its greed gods in a hack a slash.  The game may be good, but the idea is hardly worth mentioning.

HOw about he make his own world, with its own laws and own gods and own mythology ect.  The reason i brought up percy jackson was for that reason.  Looking at my bookshelf quickly I'll name some books series.  Stormlight Archive, Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Song of Ice and Fire, Kingkiller Chronicles, oh and Percy Jackson.

Every single one of those series has its own unique world, except percy jackson who is ripping off greek mythology.  It's easy to take greek mythology, roman mythology, marines, navy seals, ww2, ect an toss them in a game.  You aren't creating anything.  Half you game is already done for you.  Everyone knows who ares is and thus needs barely any explanation about his history and what not.  Or if you do you just go on wikipedia and copy paste.  

I give more credit to fresh original ideas such as pikman, heavenly sword, elder scrolls or things like that.

And Pokemon is made by Game Freak. Doesn't changed that fact that both IPs are Nintendo IPs.

Its not about the idea, its about the exectuion and he exectued the idea of mending hack n' slash, platforming, puzzle solving together with good story and presentation :)  The theme alone will get you nowhere, and btw none of the stuff you mentioned there has an original or unique theme. And yes its easy to throw mythology and soldiers into a game and make a generic medicore snooze fest. But taking these elements (which are generic, according to you) and make them into one of the most critically acclaimed games  ever as well as starting a very successful franchise can only be done by a very talented developer like David Jaffe :)
