Forums - Gaming - Xbox One automatically records key moments in FIFA 14, PS4 doesn’t

I think this is for the best. Unless you want you HDD to be filled up by every single goal in Fifa 14 manual record is for the best. What do you think?

Edit:

Quoting from Bananaking21, "you only need to press one button on your controller to save your gameplay on the PS4. you chose what clips to save and what clips you dont want and have to go and delete later."

Xbox One automatically records key moments in FIFA 14, PS4 doesn’t

Xbox One will automatically record key moments during matches in FIFA 14, while PlayStation 4 users will have to manually edit clips from the last 15 minutes of gameplay that the console has recorded, EA has told Sportra.

Sportra recently attended a preview event for FIFA 14 where the game was played on Xbox One, and goals and good saves were automatically recorded with a notification informing the player as such. Users can then view this footage from the Xbox menus.

The PlayStation 4 automatically records the last 15 minutes of gameplay. If any highlights occur which users deem worthy of sharing they must manually edit the footage by creating start and end points via the PS4′s “Share” button, and then upload the clip or screenshots.

For PS4 users, this could potentially create problems during online matches, as it isn’t exactly likely you’ll be able to pause an online game and edit footage of a great goal immediately after scoring, running the risk of the footage being lost.

thats another reason to buy ps4, yeah what shady tricks.

they did the same with wii u, with no online mod for 1 game....

so the xb1 will make the gamerecap (or how you call it) for you?

maybe bananaking is right, but i really dislike such practices, i mean you should buy something because you like it and not because you are forced to

What a great argument to buy XB1.. xD PS4 automatically records a whole match in FIFA 14, XB1 doesn't.

Yeah, because a typical FIFA match lasts so much longer than 15 minutes...

I don't think I will ever use the share feature and I'm not interested in FIFA. But it's always better when you can decide yourself what is an highlight and what isn't. If the game decides that for you, you'll sooner or later find yourself not getting what you wanted. I mean, just look at the replays from FIFA 13 (didn't play 14 yet). They are almost always missing important stuff of a game and instead give you some unimportant free kick that didn't even come close to the goal...

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

For a while in FIFA, you have been able to pause and save highlights, but the implementation has not been the best

I personally prefer Sony's option, though I can't remember if I can just save the clip instead of sharing?
