It will sell...

Less than 50k 41 8.82%

50-100k 39 8.39%

100-150k 36 7.74%

150-200k 37 7.96%

400-450k 23 4.95%

Over 450k 124 26.67%

Total:464

I'm going to be an extreme optimist and say 1.5 to 2 million. The way I see it, this is the start of a new CoD subseries, meaning people will be buying this for years. Meanwhile, the Wii U userbase is growing, and there seems to be a demand for solid online experiences not yet filled by Smash Bros or Mario Kart. Combine that with how young the Wii U is, and this game can rack up sales for a while.

Besides, Call of Duty 3 sold about 2.4 million on the Wii, before the series even became very large. Even assuming the Wii U is much less successful in the end than the Wii, less than 50k sales total would be a joke.

Tough call. I'll go with 440,000.

I think it will do around 400k, it should do higher just because it's launching the same time as other systems, Last year BO2 came out a couple weeks later so most who wanted it already had it for other systems.

There's more install base but also more good games to choose from so I will go with the same 200k.

Difficult one to call, there's a lot of factors in play now. Like you say, install base has increased, but as someone else mentioned - that's no guarantee that the number of active users has increased. And has the base of users increased with people who are likely to want to buy Call of Duty, or likely to want to buy Nintendo games?

I also think that being a launch title for the console helped. Games get inflated because people just buy anything to play on their shiny new hardware.

So at the end of the day, I can see it selling about the same; maybe slightly more, than whatever BO2's LTD sales are.

Nintendo gamers don't play Call of Duty.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

Around 400k LTD max.

300K and to me thats a decent number, everyone should be happy.

Id love to see 450k +, hopefully with some Holiday hype and decent promotion (tough sell I know). But seeing as this seems to be the only fps franchise on the system for the foreseeable future Id like it to do well.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Actually, plenty of Wii owners bought COD3, World at War, Modern Warfare, Black Ops...
