Forums - Microsoft - Alan Wake Where's My Ending?

They already talked about Alan Wake 2 this year. Theyre working on Quantum Break first but they do plan on an Alan Wake 2.  Moneywas the issue on why it wasnt made immediately. "I want to make Alan Wake when the time is right."

As for the actual OP, well you should have got the PC version it comes with the DLC lol.

It does? I downloaded mine from Steam and as far as i can tell it was over after the 6th episode.

If memory serves there is a seperate option in the main menu for the DLC

Dlc doesnt wrap up the story either, it was built to be a franchise, but didnt get the sales to make the franchise a priority...

It does but doesn't. It's pretty clear there will be a second game. I picked it up late last year, (I think?) and was very impressed by it. So much so that Quantum Break and Alan Wake 2 will be day one purchases.

I got the game when i t released and I seem to recall people being satisfied with the ambiguous ending months before the DLC ever released. I think the ending was the ending. This wasn't a case like Azura's Wrath where you didn't get "The true ending". I liked bith DLCs and American Nightmare but I never felt they were vital. I actually think it was DLC done right--extending the experience with bonus stuff for those that wanted it.

The DLC doesn't explain the ending; it's just a "what happened after". You don't need the DLC to understand what is going to happen on Alan Wake 2.

The ending of Alan Wake was great, and I doubt you need to twist your head in order to understand it. I don't know why people say it left on a cliffhanger, other than Alan's last words.

The DLC provides insight about the world Alan is trapped in now, but once again, you end up on the same point like Alan Wake 1, except for the "departure" (or whatever the new book is called) novel Alan is writing now.
