Forums - Gaming - Annoying things that gamers do/say

Personally, something I really find annoying that a lot of gamers do is act like everything needs to "change" with a new iteration of a game.  As if changing is inherently a good thing and keeping old traditions is bad.

So what about you?  What kinds of things do gamers do or say that grind your gears?

Doom, I hate it when gamers say a console is doomed.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

When you ask something like "What's the worst game, ever?" and they choose something that critically acclaimed. I can understand not liking something but I can still recognize quality in games I don't like. Why pick something like Grand Theft Auto V and say it's the worst ever? It blows my mind.

I hate it when gamers say "im broke i can't buy this awesome game yet". I hate it cause they remind me of my current situation.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

The hypocricy!!

A lot of gamers do a lot of trolling, but can't tolerate it when others do it to the platform/game they love themselves.

"Hardcore gamer" or "core game" or any variation thereof.

I also hate it when a gamer is wrong but refuses to admit defeat.

Gamer: "Two plus two equals Five."
Me: Actually, two plus two equals four. Here is a link.
Gamer: Well, my friend had two and then he got another two and it equaled five. (at which point things go off topic)

I had a discussion with a gamer on this site about when the Xbox 360's Wireless adapter released. He was dead set on proving that it was released YEARS after the PS3 had Wi Fi when the device actually launched with the 360. He argued until he eventually died (I assume).

When gamers hype certain games to the peak and when we soon get them (including me because there times where I kept getting caught in the hype) they end up being mediocre and forgotten by next year.

I agree with yours. I think new elements should be introduced into new franchises, not stuck into sequels to current ones. When I play a sequel I want a similar game with a new story, and better grapphics. Not a new game with different mechanics. New games for new stuff, old games for old stuff.
