What annoys me is when gamers act like nothing needs to change with a new iteration of a game.

Serious or just playing off of mine?  I personally think the opposite is more annoying because it's more prevalent with the community and not very many people actually think nothing new should be in a new iteration.

Just playing off of yours.

Although it's not entirely a joke, I dislike games that don't bring anything new to the table, or at least drastically improve on what they made before.

Any person that says anything about any game being "for kids."

Just about anything ever said in any given Call of Duty match at any given time.

When a gamer thinks the existence of the universe is somehow contingent on whether a specific game is going to be 1080/60.

not sure why that is eating away at so many Nintendo fans - people who say stuff like "I don't like that, that's for kids" are likely highly insecure and immature, which is why it should be rather funny encountering such a specimen

Thought of another one. Dismissing someone's positive opinion about an old game as "nostalgic." If you don't like the game then explain yourself with a well-reasoned argument; don't imply your opponent is incapable of rational thought.

I tend to think it's more sad than funny.  The fact that such a high percentage of the gaming population, including important people from poular companies and developers, have this insecurity.  If it was a small group of people it would be funny and pathetic, but the entire industry is filled with it.

When you ask something like "What's the worst game, ever?" and they choose something that critically acclaimed. I can understand not liking something but I can still recognize quality in games I don't like. Why pick something like Grand Theft Auto V and say it's the worst ever? It blows my mind.
