Bold - obviously! Just kill that stupid PS3 support! It's not needed! Look at MS, it has already killed X360 support and nobody cares. It's too late in the gen to care about those few consoles that these games may move. Late adopters won't earn Sony big cash either way, so why give them even more reasons to get your console, when you have a struggling Vita and early adopters who give you most money are slow adopting it? As I've said, all 2013 PS3 exclusives should be Vita's exclusives. Every single one. Rain and Puppeteer wouldn't save Vita, but would help competing with 3DS for kids. Either way, they are both a much better fit on a handheld than on a dying home console. And remember, these games would be just the icing on the cake of The Last of Us, GoW:A, Ni No Kuni, etc. You say Vita will get it's GT one day. Well... when? It needs one NOW. And what the hell is with the idea of releasing GT6 on PS3? Out of all the 3 platforms, this is the most stupid idea. Yes, it will most probably sell most software there, but the number won't be big (GT big - it's just too late in the gen) and it would move hardware on both Vita and PS4. This decisions is just so stupid it's terrifying.
Underlined - 6 games and Vita has been out for 2 years, one of these titles is not even close to being AAA (the Golf). Awesome. Let's face it, when you look at Sony's performance on PSV, we got only 4 AAA games in two years. Uncharted, Killzone, Gravity Rush and LBPV. We will get Tearaway now, so that'll make 5 games in 2 years - do you think that's enough? I know there were AAA games from 3rd parties, like Persona 4G, ACIII:L, NFS:MW, maybe Dragon's Crown and there will be God Eater 2, but this is it. No console can live with such few big games. Both Vita and Wii U prove that. Vita has an incredible number of very good middle tier games and indies, but it needs big shots that draw attention and it just lacks them.
The burden is on Sony to make Vita viable for 3rd parties, not the other way around. It can do it, but it has to work for it. It was easy for PSP, cause people just believed in the Playstation brand and that it would be as awesome as PS2, but it's not the case with Vita. Now Sony has to earn the trust again, cause people are affraid it's gonna be the PS3 just that they aren't sure about the big turnaround considering Sony is focusing on PS4. And PSP died because of people hacking every single console and not buying software, which cause 3rd parties to flee.
To turn things around Sony has to pump out 8-10 big AAA first party games in a single year and get a GTA in that same year. They have to give us ND and SSM games as well as Bend, Ready at Dawn (an Order 1886 spin-off, please?) and other quality studios. They should already stop meddling with the hardware - it's not the problem and it won't save anything. The software is the key.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
