Neither does MS, you are only receiving copies of these games if you pay for gold. |
that stay on the hardrive, whats your point? It's only stored on a different medium, so it has to be on disk to be cool.

Anyone else really enjoying the game from earlier this month? "Might and Magic Clash of Heroes"
I was glad to see one of my old favorite (Heroes of Might and Magic) games back (well sort of) and showed it to a friend who loved it so much he purchased the game. (I even reminded him of the last day he could get it for free, but didn't know he loved/obsess with it yet.)

His point is there not free, you pay for gold and you get to keep old games, you pay for PSN+ they let you rent new games. Neither are FREE.

Let me know how you like III when you get around to playing it. I know it's a bit different.
But I really like AC2.

Yes but keeping and renting are 2 totally different things. I don't like renting my house, I like owning it, I don't like renting my car, I like owning, Same as everything I own in my house. Get the point. So compared to PSN+ they are free. Both good ideas. Personally I would rather own.

This conversation is funny. MS deal giving Xbox Live Gold subscribers games to keep is a great thing. No one is saying it isn't. You are arguing semantics.
Xbox Live Gold is a gaming service subscription, which allows you to play online for the time of your subscription and now download some older games to keep, as well as use other special features.
PS+ is a game rental subscription service, which allows you to rent newer games for the time of your subscription, as well as other special features.
The 2 services are not really comparable as they differ such a way it makes it like comparing Netflix (PS+) to Subscribing to a magazine where every now and then, you get a free gift with it (Xbox Live Gold). Eitherway, you are paying. The end result is that these companies want you to enjoy the games on offer, in PS+ case, enough to buy the game after the rental has finished and continue purchasing the subscription, for XBLG casem, enjoy the game enough to maybe buy the newer sequals.
Hmm, pie.

No there not free tho. Because you bought your house instead of renting it doesnt make it free.
You paid for those games as part of your live sub.
I would rather rent new stuff than own old stuff, obviously if i could own new stuff that would be better than renting new stuff. But id rather play lots of the latest games for cheap, than play less really old games for cheap.

the point was that you need gold to receive the games, not that they are dl only
not sure what you were trying to read into that

You could make a new Email, which gives you gold for free, making the games for free. SO they are for free if you really wanted them.
