Yes but keeping and renting are 2 totally different things. I don't like renting my house, I like owning it, I don't like renting my car, I like owning, Same as everything I own in my house. Get the point. So compared to PSN+ they are free. Both good ideas. Personally I would rather own. |
This conversation is funny. MS deal giving Xbox Live Gold subscribers games to keep is a great thing. No one is saying it isn't. You are arguing semantics.
Xbox Live Gold is a gaming service subscription, which allows you to play online for the time of your subscription and now download some older games to keep, as well as use other special features.
PS+ is a game rental subscription service, which allows you to rent newer games for the time of your subscription, as well as other special features.
The 2 services are not really comparable as they differ such a way it makes it like comparing Netflix (PS+) to Subscribing to a magazine where every now and then, you get a free gift with it (Xbox Live Gold). Eitherway, you are paying. The end result is that these companies want you to enjoy the games on offer, in PS+ case, enough to buy the game after the rental has finished and continue purchasing the subscription, for XBLG casem, enjoy the game enough to maybe buy the newer sequals.
Hmm, pie.
