So with the week that pass by pokemon XY opened up with around 1.3mil sales, the thing is 73k seems I dont kno..... TOO DAMN SMALL for a boost!

My Reasons are simple, look at AC new leaf and Luigi's Mansion 2. Both weeks 3DS sold over 70k and both debuted with less than 500k sales.... Something's not right! I left it alone but again NPD proves that 3DS has been undertracked every month for the last 5 months! 

We have sales as 150k for the month of Sept, but NPD tells us that 3DS is the best selling console (handheld+home console) for the fifth month in a row! PS3 the best selling home console of Sept is over 180k and 3DS is ahead of that!? 3DS undertracked by at LEAST 30K!

How much do you think 3DS really got in US this past week? it most certainly not 73k, especially with 2DS launching!

My guess is between 100k-150k Wats yours? Your thoughts?

Ya most likely undertracked, every month PS360 are overtracked and 3DS is undertracked.

75k is my guess. Your optimism is unrealistic when it comes to Nintendo stuff man!

Watttt? 3DS been undertracked by alot every month (30k-60k). If you think pokemon only pushed 75k you got something coming for ya

Next NPD 3ds will be undertracked by alot. Im certain it sold around 100k

Even so, being undertracked by 30-50k for the month of September averages out to only 6-10k per week. So I'm guessing about 80k for Pokemon release week.

I agree about that. Let me rephrase. 80k is my estimate based on NPD adjustments alone. I believe that in the US, 3DS sales (67k) were undertracked and the minimum I would put them at is 75k. In the US! Not the 73k NA numbers you're referring to.

But that's my low-end, my minimum. I made a conservative prediction. I would not be surprised to see 90k or higher. I would be surprised to see over 100k, just because that would mean VGChartz was WAY off with their initial numbers.

I think the 2DS/Pokemon combination will have a bigger impact on sales from now through the end of the December...rather than making for one HUGE boost the first week. You have to remember that Pokemon isn't GTA..yes it has a ton of hardcore fans who bought it week one, but the next, VERY important "audience" for Pokemon XY and 2DS are the parents who will be picking them up for their kids for Christmas. So while I agree it is probably under-tracked a bit and could be as high as 90-100k this week in the US, I think you'll see 3DS hardware sales stay fairly steady for the next few weeks at this new level (hopefully above 50k a week minimum) and then EXPLODE during the last 5-6 weeks of the year.
