Damn, now me and my brother can't get 2 games for the price of one. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

Thats not it.
They are refferring to sharing your digital game to a friend on his account. That has all stoped now.

Yeah I just looked. It seems it should be with us in Spring 2014 for The One. Sucks that Sony are taking stuff away while adding charging. |
Source?
It's good that they are keeping it where any one can play it on the primary console, regardless of the account. It does suck that they are taking away the share model, though. They already dropped it to 2 of each system, instead of the original 5, so I don't see the big deal in keeping it. In fact, it allowed me and my buddy to buy more games than we normally would, since we could go halvsies on our purchases.
@ selnor
You honestly think that MS, of all companies, is going to allow you to share your games with up to 10 people? HIGHLY doubtful. Unless they either reinstate the DRM or there are catches to that plan, like they only get an extended demo of your games, I wouldn't hold your breath.

unlimted number of PS4's. all you have to do is be logged in.

"Despite the changes not being very different to how things are today with the Xbox 360, Microsoft says it still wants to bring the improved digital sharing features, that it has retreated from, to the Xbox One in time. "We are completely committed to the digital vision we laid out, and we plan and intend to deliver all the things we said before," Microsoft's Yusuf Mehdi tells us. Mehdi explains that Microsoft wants to and "can do it," but it's seeking feedback before any future changes are made. "You're going to see more of the things that we talked about with digital," he confirms, including a Family Sharing feature that Microsoft previously revealed as an option to share digital content with family members regardless of console or location. Mehdi says Microsoft still has "creative pricing models" for games, and trial games on their list for post-launch. For now, Microsoft is clearly approaching any potential changes with caution to avoid a backlash over policy changes that have left consumers confused by its Xbox One launch so far."

No actual time frame on this article, but Microsoft interview said around spring at EB Expo 2013.

Sorry but I have not seen that interview and I feel that if Microsoft had announced such a specific timeframe for this I would have read it somewhere around here, so until you provide a source for that interview I'll have to assume that you're just making things up.
Also I'm pretty sure if Sony sees the need for a plan like that it should not be a big problem to implement it some way.

Ill have a look for the interview. I dont actually remember what Part of EB Expo I was watching. Its not really important to me anyway whether you believe a vague timeframe or not. The fact that Microsoft are still implementing Family sharing is great.
Anyways. Thats enough MS in this thread. Its about PS.
So yeah. Anyways The PS3 model has gone.
