Lmfao, astonishingly enough there are a few in here who come across in the very same way as these people.

Yes, I didn't post them to insult people - glad so far none have taken it that way, just to remind them that 'gravity' is equally a scientific theory, as is evolution.

They both belong in science classes.

I have run across people like than in real life.  Usually after a few questions you can find how science has saved their or someone they are close to life.  Sometimes it does get through them a little that science is how stuff works, not something evil.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

"In a recent survey by Angus Reid Public Opinion, it seems the answer to this scientific — or religious — question is not quite settled. According to the findings, 61 per cent of Canadians and 69 per cent of Britons think human beings evolved from simpler life forms, while just 30 per cent of Americans agree."

This is from 2012 and shows how very different the US is from other English speaking countries. This has to be the fault of the education system in the US. To not accept evolution is wilful ignorance, there simply is no debate in the scientific community on the issue. If you are ever in my neck of the woods I can direct you to the fourth floor of the natural sciences library which contains nothing but evidence of evolution even though it is not complete it has over a century of documented evidence for evolution. The other side has a single book written in the bronze age, by a collection of authors, most of its adherents have not even read the entire book, and even fewer have any idea of the context in which it was written.

http://www.christianitytoday.com/gleanings/2013/june/surprising-stats-on-who-reads-bible-from-start-to-finish.html

One side presents evidence and the other holds its hands to its ears trying to drown out anything that might disagree with the one book that they take as their central authority in life, that they can't even be bothered to read.

There is adaption proven without a doubt but evolution hasn't been so keenly proven. It hasn't been proven that nature is "randomly" selecting species to gain certain traits that they are a separate species.

Shees, again you prove you don't understand the concept. Evolution has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with "randomly selecting anything". Evolution is the EXACT OPPOSITE of randomness.

Why do you think I put the quotes around the word randomly.  But believing in godless evolution means that nature is random by itself which causes certain traits to be selected and passed to cause evolution. If you don't understand that, learn what entropy is

Serious question, do you get your science from Creation.com?

It sure seems like it, because you keep parroting incredibly common creationist myths which are easily debunked by a simple google search or understanding of what you're talking about.

Entropy does not apply to evolution of plant/animals on Earth because Earth isn't a closed system. Ever heard of the Sun? It provides energy to us.

Mutations are random, selection isn't. We use the principle of natural selection to artificially select traits for dogs, crops, etc.

Honestly dude, I've posted countless sources for you to read and been patient with you, but enough is enough. You refuse to review sources, you refuse to acknowledge your mistakes, just go away. Take your ball and go home. This isn't the place for you to spread ignorance.

Perhaps that's a good way of helping those with different world views understand why they are being silly about cherry picking random theories they subscribe to and others they do not.

Most people don't realize that vaccinations are created through the same evolutionary process.

That's right, from 1982 to 2012 there is no change at all, even slight increase, in the percentage of people who subscribe to this belief despite overwhelming scientific evidence which contradicts...well, the 0 evidence on the other side.

All this through the mapping of the human genome, which began in 1987 and was completed by 2003.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Genome_Project

Furthermore, it is in stark contrast to the scientific community, of which there is almost no deviation:

Of the scientists and engineers in the United States, only about 5% are creationists, according to a 1991 Gallup poll (Robinson 1995, Witham 1997). However, this number includes those working in fields not related to life origins (such as computer scientists, mechanical engineers, etc.). Taking into account only those working in the relevant fields of earth and life sciences, there are about 480,000 scientists, but only about 700 believe in "creation-science" or consider it a valid theory (Robinson 1995). This means that less than 0.15 percent of relevant scientists believe in creationism. And that is just in the United States, which has more creationists than any other industrialized country. In other countries, the number of relevant scientists who accept creationism drops to less than one tenth of 1 percent.

So what's the problem folks? Is it poorly educated masses, indoctrination, parents, scientific failure?

The banana man! Funny stuff.

Wish I were so stupid that I could go around trumpeting my profound stupidity and pretending to be credentialed enough to discuss the topics I'm discussing.

Ray Comfort has no post-secondary schooling at all, the dude knows fuck all about these topics. He has no degrees, not in theology, not in biology. He's the King of the fundamentalists.

Awfully angry there, but according to your posted statistics 78% of people believe God had a hand in our creation one way or another.

Who the person is makes no impact on the facts presented, and with that I leave you to your loosing argument, both clearly shown in your own statistics and the facts as they are.

I'm not angry at Ray. He's a product of his genetics. Not his fault he's an idiot, but it is his fault he's ignorant. Speaking from ignorance and pretending to know what you're talking about is dishonest and misleading.

If he truly wishes to convince anyone with education on the matter that what he says has any merit, he should learn about the topic.

Furthermore, the number of people who believe something has no impact on truth.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argumentum_ad_populum

However, when we achieve scientific consensus on a topic - you know actual experts, not people who listen to other idiots like Ray, then you have some validity for the same reason you listen to your Dr. It has been vetted.

I'm refering to the fact that nature is random not that evolution or natural selection is random. The process itself isn't random but the environment is in a way. If nature wasn't random, we would not have trouble predicting the weather or earthquakes to even centuries in the future. And then, there is the random impact of space debris that may have an influence on the environment like with the dinosaurs. In that way nature is random

Wrong again, just go away.

If nature were random, reproducing scientific results would be impossible. USE YOUR BRAIN.

PS: You didn't answer my question. Then again, you never do.
