I think the 360 will have a great 2008 and beyond. Because Sony claimed it's big guns were finally coming out in 08' everyone sees the demise of the 360.

The Wii affects 360 users, but the effects of that are overrated. I do believe that Wii sales affect the 360 more then they do the PS3. The last one is of course a bit more powerful and known for its multimedia features. I love my Wii, but I really don't have it for that, don't even have it hooked up to the net actually.

Fable 2 being the second best selling ip means absolutely nothing on a console that dealt with low sales. It just shows that Halo was the game for ms and they sold that developer. Still exclusively making games for MS just translates to: waiting for better offer. The sale of bungie once again pointed out that MS is selling their gamedivision bit by bit while they can get a really good price.

MS didn't sell Bungie, they left and became independent company called Bungie LLC with Microsoft holding a minority stake in them. It was the best move for everyone involved... If Nintendo allowed Rare to do the same thing back in late 90's they'd still be making great games.

While you're there, compare it for the PS3 one...not much difference at all except for a few exclusives that go one way and few that go the other. I know that quantity doesn't mean anything but Xbox360 list has about 40 games more than PS3. Just thought I'd point that out as its far from over for the 360.

There are about the same ammount of exclusive on Xbox360 vs PS3 that are going to be released.
Sony has more internal studio and MS will get more PC games ...

since ps3's launch, it has sold less consoles than 360 has

i'm not cherry picking a specific time frame

at the current rate that ps3 is outselling 360 each week, it'll be 2009/2010 before it catches up...and around 2011 there will be a 720 coming out

What makes you think the current rate won't get a lot larger when the big guns are released? I mean, it's been outselling it all this time without what all YOU 360fanboys like to call "NO GAMES".

There's no hurry to catch up, it will just happen, I really don't care when or how. The games I like are coming to the system I like. MS is not really doing any real money in this industry and if the 360 doesn't sell A LOT better than what is doing I doubt they will release any other console, at least not a product to compete directly with the Playstation/nintendo brands.

TY to 'The Stick' for providing some sanity to this rambling! But I will agree that 2007 may have been the best year in the 360's life cycle and that system sales and game releases may slowly go down from there...
