WRONG.

People think so about Wii sports because it even sold quite well when being sold seperately (also look how well Resort sold!) and the biggest reason is:

 Wii sold because of Wii sports. So its actually people wanting to play a 250 dollar game.  All those non-gamers (mainstreamers is something else)  thought "WOW that looks amazing I want this"  and it sold.

Why do you think all those medical facilities/old people/ whatnot bought the system? Because of the system?  No because of Wii Sports that was exclusive to that system.

Wii sports is the biggest system seller EVER.

Sure, Wii Sports didn't earn those sales on its own merit. But no one can deny that it was a massive system seller. It sold me the system. Once you play through all the games multiple times, there isn't much reason to go back. But hey, it did its job.

Still the majority of bundles were not with Wii Sports Resort. That bundle in kind of hard to find, actually. The most commom bundles are Mario Kart, NSMB and the original Wii Sports, but even this one is uncommon today
