3DS must be pretty casual then since over 75% of 3D Land/Mario Kart/NSMB2/Animal Crossing/Luigis Mansion sales have come after the first week and those games continue to sell thousands each week even months/years after release.

 Luigi's Mansion 2⇒ Its tracking so far ahead of the original. It has over 2.8mil sold (with digital) without holidays sales. So this one your wrong on!

Animal Crossing New Leaf⇒ Japan is ahead by a million. US is ahead+ Europe is about the same compared to the last installments on DS. So this is anther where your wrong.

SM3DL⇒ No previous installments but since you want to go there. Its around 9mil sales and only needs less than 2mil more to be the highest selling 3D mario game

Another game that are up from previous installment is Fire Emblem Awakening!!!

Yes some of them did come out this year and thats why I said they continue to sell well many months after release. Who cares that they are down from previous installments? That has nothing to do with anything

u said Pokemon will be front loaded because casuals left, I pointed out that many of the top selling 3DS arent front loaded at all which either means casuals havent left or Nintendo games still have legs even without casuals. Which one is it?

He proved nothing. The only game that outsold its predecessor is Fire Emblem: Awakening. And that's a fact.

It just goes to show that the piracy on the DS was rampant and prevented the games from selling as they should.

But, that is also the 3DS' positive point.
