I'm gonna be honest... i dont care. The only DQ game is properly played was DQ8. If they had remained on that track i would still look forward to them, but since they only go after the sales, i dont care.

Though, since DQ7 remake was out on the 3DS i would expect the next one to come out on the 3DS aswell. Since the 3DS is basically a PS2, maybe it will look a bit more acceptable now. No mission structure please. Just like DQ8, make it a journey.

By this time I think most projects are being moved to mobile. Even Kingdom Hearts 3 or Final Fantasy XV, they will release on consoles and then have a port to IOS. Square Enix will be re branded as, IOSquare

They screwed the Dragon Quest fanbase in Japan by making DQ X a MMORPG, I wouldn't be surprised if in their warped minds they would think this would make up to them by making DQXI a cellphone game with a massive amount of DLC if not just straight Free 2 Play.

Although as a American, it doesn't matter Square Enix pretty much has only put DQ games on the DS and 3DS because they knew or had/have a arrangement with Nintendo where Nintendo handles the localizations outside of Japan.
