Late GameCube/Early Xbox 360 graphics? It may very well be more technically competent than most Vita games (but certainly not all).

I'd have gone with more early GameCube graphics (Eternal Darkness, TimeSplitters 2 etc.) Certainly not 360 unless it was a sub standard port from the previous gen.

I'm not sure. Artistic quality aside, I'm inclined to put what I've seen from the demo up there with the Prime games. Resident Evil: Revelations seems more like an early GameCube game to me.

And when I say early 360, I do mean launch games. Definitely not Gears of War.

If it pushes a lot of normal mapping, it's probably beyond the Gamecube's capabilities, as the latter's older shader setup wasn't very well suited to the effect.

Didn't the Wii have a similar setup?

Wii is Gamecube with die shrink, higher clocks, some minor changes in design and other little things added.

...and what I'm getting at is IronFall may not be able to run on Wii.

Hmm. VD-Dev went all out on optomization, that's for sure.

To quote my husband 'the term pushing to the limits' being used to suggest a game is good is like saying a lard filled burger is good because it makes you full'

I.e. a memory leak or simple process loop can push a system to it's limits, doesn't mean its good.

Now you're just saying whatever lol. You know what these guys mean, context honey.

Nice ... I welcome any hardware pushing game. Hopefully the final product will be a blast to play.

Yes, it did. In terms of functionality it's literally the same GPU and CPU as the Gamecube, but clocked 50% faster, and with 2.2 times as much RAM.

So yes, if Ironfall focuses a lot on effects like normal mapping it might well be beyond Wii's capabilities.

Im surprised fatslob hasnt said its not much better than a PSP game yet

Impressive looking game, hopefully it comes together in a fun package when it finally drops.
