I'm not buying either anytime soon.  This will make the first launch since the orinial NES that's I've skipped.  For me, there are just way too many awesome games out for the 3DS/PS3/Vita/Wii U/Xbox 360...who needs a new system?!?

Same for me. Have PS360 + PC + WiiU
WiiU for all the Nintendo goodness   PC for all the multiplats (best version always comes to PC) and for the games that are MS/Sony only well...  they will still be around in 4 years or so and then I can grab all of them for cheap in case I will buy the consoles later. (bought my PS3 with 40 games 2 years ago. Patience = MASSIVE SAVINGS)

Buying a console year one is rarely smart (look at PS3 PSP Vita 3DS WiiU etc.)
to expensive. (Money is not an issue but I dont see why I should pay 300+ for new consoles when we really needed better games not better hardware)
Lack of games in general
Later hardware revisions/firmware will fix console issues.
I dont want to support online fees + another 10 years of gaming stagnation (life cycle) the last gen was the most boring one EVER.

I still have 9876543210 games to finish (huge backlog)
Launch titles still look current-genish (jump from COD3 to games like Battlefield 3 seems bigger than BF3 to BF4)

I'm not because-

a) Too expensive to buy all 3 at the moment. Only PS4 priced competitively for what it is.
b) I've migrated to PC gaming.
c) A lot of PC gaming is like console gaming these days but with much better graphics and performance.
d) Unlike previous gens, the next gen consoles are already out of date compared to a high spec PC you can buy right now (and since a few years back). Think Console Generation 6 which finally pushed console graphics past Arcade for the first time. This is the price console gamers will pay for such a long 7th generation.
e) Because of of the above I'm going to simply buy a brand spanking new powerful GPU that will run circles round the next gen consoles.

Despite my sig, I could buy any of the new systems, although right now only WiiU games draw my attention. The thing is, this long stretched gen has made people see it is worth to wait, since you can buy a console 2 years after its release and it will probably not even have started to get good filling software wise. Plus, you get rid of the early versions problems.

I'm not getting any of the two, currently nothing in the new consoles interest me and the price is too high. I'll probably get one by the end of the generation, but that's it.

1. IMO, the PS3 still has life in it for at least another 3 years.
2. Games I'm interested for the next gen platforms are also released on current gen platforms (which I already have)
3. I NEVER buy any electronic device when it releases (usually waits for bugs/glitches/patches, etc. to be ironed out first)
4. As far as consoles are concerned, if I buy a $400 console, I would usually wait until the console has at LEAST $400 worth of games that I'm interested in to make sure that my console purchase going to be worth it. (Of course I won't buy/spend $400 worth of games at once.)
5. For the reason above (#4) the WiiU might be purchased in 2014 before I even consider a PS4/XBO.
6. For some reason, I'm STILL waiting for KH3 and I have a funny feeling that a PS3 version could be released.
7. And the least important reason as to why I may not even buy either console period is because I believe those consoles aren't worth upgrading.

Not only am I a multi-console user, the last time there's been a major home/portable console on the market and I didn't own it, it was the original Xbox. I buy everything for everything.......and I have no interest in the PS4 or Xbox One at this time.

Honestly, the Xbox One has my curiosity and I may grab one eventually but neither has won me over, yet. Like you, I own a Wii U and it's really growing on me lately. I'll just hold what I got.  360 and PS3 are still fantastic in my honest opinion.

i wont be byuing either not because i cant afford them but because they have no exclusive games coming out this holiday season. I prefer to spent those $500.00 to get some extra games rather than buying a console that will offerme nothing new other than better graphics which btw dont mean much to me . i do have a high end PC custom build and believe me when i say it this. A bad game with the best graphics is still a bad game.  however i do understand why someone would go all out and buy those new systems. oh and i will also like to add to your post that most gamers wont be buying this holiday because that is how the gaming industry works. i will say about5 to 10% of gamers will be getting the systems. 

Price isn't really a problem. I can wait at least one more year since multiplatform games will keep current systems alive. It could be 2 years considering: 9 games to buy and a little backlog.

Im still looking forward to Evil Within, Dying Light, Prey 2, Watch Dogs, Ninja Gaiden Z.
I also have to buy Beyond Two Souls, Silent Hill Downpour, Dead Rising 2 Off the Record and The Last of Us.

Almost done with Resident Evil 6 (Ada Wong Chapters), Still stuck (2 years) with Siren Blood Curse still 70% to go.
Bioshock 2 I believe 20% still left to play. Demon Souls not sure I can do this. Mass Effect 3 haven't played new ending although I downloaded it.

My conclusion is that there is enough for me to play. It doesn't bother me to wait (I planned this anyway). In the meantime I'll wait and see what will happen. I'm especially interested PC/Steam machines and how well it will be supported over the coming years (Linux).

SteamOS is already interesting since there are no fees for online. Looking forward to Left 4 Dead 3 and Portal 3. Also Dayz is a must for me. Then there is Oculus Rift that wont support PS4 or XO. Modding is a plus. Adding Android 6.0 (at that time will be quite interesting as a mediacenter bonus).
