Don't worry. BEYOND isn't only aimed to us gamers.

It was selected to appear at the Tribeca Film Festival for a reason.

As much as game reviewers might whine about "where is the actual game", this is the best type of game to play with family around you. Well, that's what I do anyways.

Just no

Explain then, because your response is nothing more than an empty "No" with no actual argument behind it.

My fiance loved watching me play HEAVY RAIN.

What type of game is great for people who just want to watch you play and not actually pick up a controller?

When I hear family I also mean kids. A kid doesn't have anything from such a movie game.

Just cancelled my pre-order. I wont get this game from the online store anymore. My friends will all laugh at me for having a game that is under 75 meta.

Better luck next time QD and Cage.

Please tell me this is a joke...

Somehow, I believe him. Anyway, as I figured, it would be love/hate. Just unfortunate, given how inconsistent the reviews are from one another.

Come on bro, I would never not get it XD
Aside from really liking Heavy Rain => I REALLY like Ellen Page. Waiting for more of her movies as I feel like I've seen most XD

 Seemed appropriate to post again.

The demo wasn't really all that convincing. The press triangle to "Aiden" didn't control too well. We were spared of the press square to kiss part in the demo atleast. Aiden's use was quite limited as he is really only needed when game wants you to use him. Also he can't poses everyone as the game decides what you can even do with his already limited powers. Still the game seemed promising and the last one reviewed quite well. So everyone was expecting somewhere in 80's metascore.

I kind of like what David Cage is trying to do in a way but he really overestimates the power of the tech to make people emotional instead of compelling dialogue and story. The Walking dead did that with cell shaded mid to low level graphics and ran on cell phones. Emotion!

Good thing out of this is that it will drop in price even faster now.

It will drop below 70

Quantic may not become an official member of the PlayStation family now..

I definitely don't want any studio in the PlayStation family to be one that produces garbage/rubbish. Zipper was closed SuperBot didn't make the cut, United Front Games(LBP Karting and Mod Nation Racing devs) had a potential shot at one point but also didn't make the cut and now QD might have missed their opportunity

I'm not sure if Beyond isn't getting much love because it's garbage or because of something else

I guess Quantic Dream could still become one of the newest members of the PS family depending on why Beyond scored lower than expected

So, we ignore Heavy Rain now?

Partially

Heavy Rain released 2010. Beyond is releasing now in 2013. A great developer is not one that makes 1 good game and the rest are garbage. You want a developer that can bring quality with EACH release

I'm tired of looking forward to games that will end up being garbage. Do you remember games like Haze and Lair? Those games looked like they were going to be SERIOUS but they came out and were garbage. Do you remember what the PS3 launched with? It launched with 4 exclusives but the majority only remember 1 and thattance. It had Genji, NBA 07, Untold Legends and Resistance. why does nobody ever remember the other 3? BECAUSE THEY WERE PRETTY MUCH GARBAGE!

Aint nobody got time for no damn flops!

Beyond is NOT garbage but it was close to being on the bad side.

I will be happy if it reaches green(75 or above) on Metacritic

I HEAR YOU BRO! ND has been there since 2007 for us ;_; <33

But yeah.. it's tricky when it comes to this particular genre. And it doesnt help when a game like TLOU has came out a few months prior. Cuz dat writing...

I figured it would end up as love or hate. Not going to stop me from picking it up considering I enjoy the high story telling elements.

Ah, I see. Here I thought kids watched movies too.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Thought wrong. Kids are too busy with their smartphones nowadays.

Metro's review should have just been a cut/paste link to their heavy rain review lol

I'm keeping my pre-order. Mixed reviews just mean the game is not understood by everyone. I only cancel when a game is universally agreed upon to be bad.

Are you serious? How can people not understand limited gameplay and QTE? Really, just because a review has a low score for this game doesn't mean an idiot reviewed it. The game *is* controversal and if QD makes more of these games they will always be. You like it? Fine. But it has nothing to do with "understanding".
