Forums - Sony - Killzone Shadow Fall doesn't have dedicated servers!!

Sony seems to be in a effort for the PS4 to be just more powerfull and simple PS3.

?x1 is just a more powerfull 360...............

The ps4 has many featuers that PS3 doesn't..

PS3 was a better media box then 360. PS4 will be capable in that area as well. Try again.

Microsoft seems to be in the effort to finish behind Sony again.

dedicated servers are a beautiful and rare thing

Well on PS4, yes.
Pretty much every game on Xbox One will have dedicated servers.

How do you know every game will have dedicated servers??? MS are gonna rent companies their servers cheap. They aren't giving them free for every game. So that doesn't mean every comapny or game will use them.

Hopefully cloud power might improve the X1 perfermance too??????

Pigs might fly!

That is why I said pretty much.

Ever major AAA game will have dedicated servers on Xbox One.
Heck even most launch and launch window games do support dedicated servers already.

And why do you try to downplay cloud and dedicated servers is beyond me.

Yup, ALL X1 games will have dedicated servers. ALL.

To me it does seem like a bad thing because unlike KZ2 or KZ3, you have to pay to have access to the online portion of the game.
Sony is charging you for the same method that was free before. If they are going to charge you for it then they should have dedicated servers.
Unless I am mistaken and the online is F2P then I really do not see how people can defend this.

There were plenty of games that had dedicated servers on ps3. I guess you should like paying for live then.

Funny thing is youll never know how the dedicated servers are set up on live. Id bet games will you this same set up on kive. What then?

I love looking at the people fight in the comments.

OT: Doesn't really bother me wether the game will have dedicated servers or not. I don't have to much of a problem with online gaming.

I find it funny how people now seem to care wich technology is used to online gaming.

Who cares really? If it works, it works. If it doesnt work the publisher will feel the backlash in sales. Given how CoD has been so popular and seems to not be using dedicated servers, i fail to see the point of this argument. Its gamers trying to think they are developers and picking something to hate on. Its incredibly boring.

Best comment so far. I don't really understand a the fights about this.

To add to that. Wasn't it something like 50 percent of 360s sold never went on the internet. Only core gamers care about this crap or even know what it is.

It's funny. I read that and thought it sounded awesome. That's just fantastic for someone like me with a slower connection. It will make the burden on the connection very light.

Then I read the comments. "Dedicated servers" really has become quite the buzz phrase, hasn't it? It doesn't matter how good a solution might be, all many people know or care about is "dedicated servers!"

KZ3 ran beautifully for me. I was honestly amazed, as I have a sub 3Mbps connect. I almost never had any issues. What am I supposed to do, though? Am I supposed to say, "this might run perfectly for me but I want dedicated servers! Rarr"? I think real-world performance is the most important thing.

Also, the title is just flat-out untrue.

everything this guy said B-)
