feels like been there, done that to me.

But you're still excited for the next Halo?

....but it gets way more attention and hype, because it is an exclusive. I bet 90% of you guys would not even care about the game if it was multiplat from day one.

sounds like titanfall

Titanfall gets the hype, because there is a well known developer-team making the game. This is one of those developers that really brought something to the table and the whole genre kept on using afterwards. They already proved that they can do these things, unlike GG. That is the reason why people are hyped.

That and basically every preview and everyone playing it already confirmed that is incredibly fun.

TitanFall's ''popularity'' has nothing to with the team behind it, and everything to do with it's semi exclusivity on the console of your choise. If there was any truth to what you're saying, then Ryse wouldn't have any hype amongst Xbox fans at ALL. As the team behind it is responsible for some horrendous games. But let's keep the talk in this thread related to Killzone, you know, the subject of this thread!

With that being said, do you have anything else, negative of course, that you can tell us about this game?

Watching the trailer has nothing to do with commenting in this thread. You do know there are more lurkers than users of this website at any given moment?

So it's not that impossible. Or did something else drive you to make such a meaningful comment? And since when do you care about graphics?

SF really is stunning to look at (especially it's art direction. I've said before i think Crysis 3 on PC looks "better" but SF's style really pulls it ahead).

Though holy shit what is it with games and their eye burning sun flares :P

You should see the Witcher 2,  as much as I love that game and the art style to me is perfect , the sun looks like a Nuclear Hydrogen bomb exploding in the distance, i can almost hear Oppenheimmer saying "Now I am become death , The destroyer of Worlds!"  every time i look at the sun.

Most European developers have this issue, for some reason , its either that in europe the sun is blinding as fuck , or that they just want to blind you with how much "EPIC THE GRAPHIX!!" are.

Haha, yeah i remember having to put up with that :P Looked pretty through trees though P:

Modus operandi:

-Entered the thread to watch the trailer.
- I didin´t like what i saw, so, as a free man, i stated my opinion.

Have you ever looked direclty at the sun??? Yeah it's blinding in real life too.

You don't say ¬_¬

Just because something is a certain way in real life, doesn't mean it works well in a video game. While having excessive lenses flare sure is pretty, having half my screen made useless whenever the sun is on my screen is irritating as hell, and does nothing to add to the games "realism" (i'd argue it actually pulls you out of it).

This is about the most i think the sun should interfere with your screen (screenshot i took from FF14 earlier today :P)

It gets the "LOOK THIS THING IS BRIGHT" message across fine, without being intrusive. Other than the sun i have no complaints with SF's visuals at all ^^

Youre comparing third person to first person where the player is wearing a visor - as an motorcyclist without a sun shield layer on their visor will tell you, the sun when in front of you can make seeing things very difficult.

while they could tone it down "because its just a game", it wouldnt work with the lighting the game uses, its very intense and dramatic, and ultimately part of an aesthetic package, comparing art direction to a game that has a completely different one makes no sense.

What does the POV have to do with a suns brightness? As PullusPardus showed a few hours ago, the Witcher 2 (a 3rd person game) had exactly the same kind of mega sun lighting at SF seems to have. I was using FF14 purely as a reference, not a direct comparison.

Like you said yourself, the sun glaring in your eyes can make things difficult. Games are a supposed to be fun, not difficult. They could easily make the sun half as intrusive and it wouldn't lose any of it's style. There are other ways to show something is bright without it taking up half my screen.

Yes, I have to agree that it's a game, the highest profile PS4 launch game to be precise; but how does that make AI less important ?

Yes, It's not a finished product, although it is only about a month away from being released; so maybe it's an old built or they can simply fine-tune the AI in a couple of weeks ?

It just seems a bit weird to me that 95% of Next-gen talk is graphics and never about the AI.

This looks just like a combination of different demos they have done since the announcement. The first video goes back to at least E3, so it's quite old.

Looking forward to this game, just hope the colours are nice, some of the videos I've seen they look too bright/washed out....

I like the Killzone franchise, but all who have played it must admit that the only reason it's not more popular, it's because Guerrilla doesn't give us a Helghast campaing, and doesn't expand the Helghast culture.

What people like the most of the franchise are the Helghast. In fact, they are the real protagonists. You can make a Killzone game without the ISA, but you can't even think of a game without the helghast.
