Pacific Rim had awesome trailers because they only showed what was awesome but they hid the super stereotypical plot and characters and the cheesy dialogues.

If they were trying to hide the cheesy dialogue in the Pacific Rim trailers, they didn't do a very good job...

They gave us just a little taste of that cheese.

True. They devoted most of the time to the big action scenes.

That was kind of the point of the movie. The movie was a throwback in many ways to the 80s. It had the 80s Japanese monsters and Mechs. And the 80s archetype characters from their respective countries, and cheesy dialogue of American action movies. To me that's part of what made the movie so great.

No, thats the part were they made the movie forgettable and why do we need two very annoying scientist?!

This is how Godzilla should be.
The original was a dark and serious film about the horrors of atomic warfare, and the dangers of nuclear proliferation, and this seems to be very much in the same spirit.

This trailer alone blows the 1998 travesty to smithereens.

May 16th cannot come soon enough.
