You're parroting what NightDragon just said so my answer is the same. Doesn't matter shit how good they are, the best drugs is still illegal. Whats so hard to understand.

Bitching about the old games that are no longer bringing any profit to anybody but scalpers.

But I guess you enjoy being screwed if that's your stance. That, or you're a scalper.

No I just have more money than you and can afford to play what I want. If you're going that route, saying games are too expensive and therefore you're pirating them, you should get a different hobby.

So, being screwed by scalpers. OK.

For the record - the whole collection I have posted here, I own physically/digitally. 200+ games ain't all that bad, is it? And I did it while having less money than you. And having more sense, also.

You keep missing the point man. Its not a dick measuring contest, I dont care how many games you have or how poor/ rich you are, nothing justifies pirating games. Zero tolerance on piracy. You can't afford a game? Then move on. "bbb bbu bbuuttt I have legal 200 games, I'm entitled to download illegal roms! No you're not. I want a Ferrari but can't afford it, according to you I should steal it.

And you keep paying scalpers when the company would see 0% profit from whatever sale of phased-out system game you do.

When it's overpriced for no reason, you're just doing a disservice to everyone buying it at that price.

Move on. You're clearly stuck up.

Why do you keep saying that I'm buying overpriced games from scalpers? If a game is overpriced I just don't buy it, have you still not understand anything? If you can't afford something, its not for you.

Move on. We have polarized views, so I don't want to waste any more time discussing it.

It's up to publishers to make their retro games available through Virtual Console and similar services. If you're unable to buy their games I really don't see any problem with getting roms or ISO's instead. And from the companies perspective it really doesn't matter if you download a rom or buy the game from ebay, because they're not getting a penny in either case.

I think what Turkish means is that even though you aren't affecting the companies it's still "illegal".

coolrom is one of the best sites out there. Got pretty much every emulator for all the mainstream consoles, and more roms than you could ever play in a lifetime.

I recently discovered that there were actually 2 sequels to Disney's Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, one of my all time fav Capcom classics, both of which were released in Japan only on SNES and later ported to the GBA in North America. Been enjoying the original SNES versions in all their 16-bit glory.

The fuck does it matter how good it is, this site shouldn't promote illegal roms.  And you're also admitting to pirating games you never owned those Japan only games you listed.

So to you every rom is illegal? Well, this is wrong.

And you know his country's laws ?

It's certainly not illegal everywhere. Especially something as old as Atari 2600 roms (and others obviously).

Without downloading games from the internet, I would have never played masterpieces like Mother 3 and Earthbound. They are not so bad.

And the PS1 RPGs, PS2 Classics and some EA games ;).

I assume the laws in his country are pretty much the same like in every other country. I find it very strange that vgchartz has links to a site offering illegal stuff. Its ironic that the sales page of DS games have links to illegal roms, like Pokemon Black/White http://www.vgchartz.com/game/44573/pokemon-black-white-version/

I hope the sales on that page aren't extrapolated from the amount of downloads these roms gather???
