Is this allowed? I just browsed some games on retro consoles and there is a link to coolrom.com where you can download those games.

Not only did they have that, but now you spread this info to the masses!
This makes you the worst offender!
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

That's unusual.
The rule against ROM links still applies to the forum though.
coolrom is one of the best sites out there. Got pretty much every emulator for all the mainstream consoles, and more roms than you could ever play in a lifetime.
I recently discovered that there were actually 2 sequels to Disney's Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, one of my all time fav Capcom classics, both of which were released in Japan only on SNES and later ported to the GBA in North America. Been enjoying the original SNES versions in all their 16-bit glory.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
Of course. Posting links to roms is legal as long as you advise the people to erase the file after the 24-hours trial, which is what the rom is for.

The fuck does it matter how good it is, this site shouldn't promote illegal roms. And you're also admitting to pirating games you never owned those Japan only games you listed.

It worked for Spanish websites ^^

Sure the sites may say that. But as far as I know there is no actual legal basis for it. The only legal way to obtain a ROM is to rip it yourself which is covered under fair use as a backup in most western countries. There are some countries that don't have strict copyright laws that protect international copyright however I don't think Spain is one of them.

Oh, the horror!
coolrom is one of the finest sites for roms out there. Anyone interested in more, ask me privately. Pretty sure promoting and naming other goes against our rules here.
