has any of the big names at the traded work out so far? Legwand is out. Miller is out. Gabroik or however you spell it is almost out. St Louis at least avoided a sweep in Tampa but you know that really wasnt what they wanted. He requested it because he was being a baby about not making the olypic team that he played for anyway

Moulson hasn't really done anything for Minnesota these playoffs either.

I don't know what St. Louis did to upset the hockey gods. This team and their fans don't deserve this bullshit.

They lost 6 games in a row to end the season so they had to play the defending champs instead of the Wild in round 1. That about sums it up.

That's what happens when the hockey gods see fit for the injury bug to strike your team just before the playoffs.

Miller isn't quite living up to the hype now is he?

no he didnt. How long of a contract did he have?

I was just referencing a funny conversation that happened in this thread. He posted a .903SV% in the season and a .897SV% in the playoffs.

I think this was the last year of his contract though.

Yes, it is the last year of his contract.  St. Louis was looking to rent a goalie better than they had on the roster.  They have a chance to resign him, but that would trigger a conditional draft pick going to Buffalo.  Given the way he played, I wouldn't be suprised to see the Blues let him walk.

They can go to Jake Allen in goal and spend the money elsewhere.

tha bug hit Chicago too so it cold have been worse for the blues. They could have faced them without home ice.

Man, stars looked like they were heading to game 7 but Ducks stole it from them.

Luckily yours was more after the Olympic break, and not immediately before the playoffs.

LOL! If that fight occurred Chara should get two majors because how lopsided it would have been. Love the linesmen darting in. I doubt he wanted to explain a death in a game he was officiating.

It was Smith who was instigating, though.  *chuckle*  That's why Chara was laughing, probably shocked the little man chose...of all people, Chara to try and fight.

Regardless of who was instigating chara would have definitely been able to get two fights worth out of it lol.

Two fights worth of penalties for one punch? Seems harsh ;)

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Very surprised by the poor play of Ryan Miller in the playoffs. Not at all the performance I expected of him and hats off to Max of the Wild who called the collapse when the Hawks were down 2 games to none. Just saw this piece of weird information:

2013 Round 1 Blues vs. Kings (defending Stanley Cup champions)
Game 1: Alex Steen scored game-winning goal in OT.
Game 2: Barret Jackman scored game-winning goal.
Game 3: Blues outshot Kings by nine, get shut out.
Game 4. Blues blew 3-2 lead late in third period, lost 4-3.
Game 5: Alex Pietrangelo scored game-tying goal (his first of the playoffs, assisted by Jaden Schwartz), Blues lost 3-2 in OT.
Game 6: Blues lost 2-1, eliminated from playoffs.

2014 Round 1 Blues vs. Blackhawks (defending Stanley Cup champions)
Game 1: Steen scored game-winning goal in OT.
Game 2: Jackman scored game-winning goal.
Game 3: Blues outshot Blackhawks by nine, get shut out.
Game 4: Blues blew 3-2 lead late in third period, lost 4-3.
Game 5: Pietrangelo scored game-tying goal (his first of the playoffs, assisted by Schwartz), Blues lost 3-2 in OT.
Game 6: to be determined

obviously, game 6 no longer to be determined, but still pretty weird.

Spot on, Ryan Miller is starting to earn a reputation as a regular season only goalie, which is weird considering how excellent he was in the (playoff like format) Olympics. Anyway, a huge letdown for the Blues the way Miller performed. There is absolutely no way they resign Miler before the draft and give up a 1st round pick this year. I am not sure Ryan Miller would resign there anyway, I think he has his eyes on the Ducks.
