It would be anti consumer in the case of sony since that camera is well lets say outdated and the ps4 interface wasnt built around it.
The kinect 2 however screams potential and it only adds value.

I have no interest in Kinect, hence why I didn't buy the first one for my 360.

How does forcing me to pay for it add value for me?

Yeah if you dont want th multi player part of your game that you paid for sure. Tire anology works just fine. you can still use your car for a lot of things as long as you dont mind not driving. The AC Still works, Radio still works. Everything works excpet for one aspect of it. Granted it is the main point of owning one but online multi player is the main part of many games these days. BF4,COD, TitanFall, Destiny, I could go on.

the single player is the tires,the cd/air conditioner is the multi player that you dont need to play the game....   yes you gotta pay to play multi,but your not forced into a camera TOO

I have no interest in Kinect, hence why I didn't buy the first one for my 360.

MS is taking the cost seperatly you would have to spend what 300 dollars just for kinect how does that add value to me the consumer who actually wants kinect? Its a choice and no one is forcing you to buy an xbox one

MS is taking the cost seperatly you would have to spend what 300 dollars just for kinect how does that add value to me the consumer who actually wants kinect? Its a choice and no one is forcing you to buy an xbox one

And I won't be buying an Xbox one.

This is after having the 360 as my favorite console this gen.

No they are selling the ONE for the same price as the 360 no problem then no problem now.

I'm also wondering what Xbox fans will be saying when MS releases a Kinectless SKU next year. I'm guessing there is going to be a lot of backtracking on the comments made in this thread.
