Both Wii and Ps2 are the market leaders of their gens. What other characteristics of them both do you see? (the wii and ps2 will be the only 2 consoles in history to pass there predecessors! wii only has 1 week left to beat the cube.) discuss. add more characteristics if i missed any.



Damn things have changed since 2009 began. Here are my new visions for the end of the generation.

 

Wii: 135 mil

Ps3: 85 mil

360: 60 mil

They are both the least powerful console of their generation (although the Wii is obviously by a much larger margin).

Your other point is wrong though. For starters, the Sega Megadrive sold more than the Master System, which sold more than the SG-1000, and the Dreamcast sold more than the Saturn.

And the PS2 has been around for 7 years... ¬¬

an over 5x difference is too much to be considered similar, and we are not talking about how long they been out just about the similarities.  saying that they will most likely both have the most games of their gen fits.

 Thats what I'm saying is kinda pointless to take in account the numbers alone... in the end both will have the largest library of games of their gen...

PS2: 6.3 GFLOPS

Gamecube: 10.5 GFLOPS

Gamecube is about 1.67 times the speed of the PS2.
