Don't know. They seem to be a bit too excited for their own good. Don't know what makes XY so exciting enough to claim something ridiculous like that. Pokemon will never reach sales like RBGY ever again. Even Gen 4 and 5, on install bases larger than the original GB, couldn't outsell the originals. Some Poke-fans need to accept the facts, Pokemon is slowing down...with each generation that comes. 



your wrong on that, this gen will be huge! Obviously nowhere near pokemon GRB, but it'll go up in sales from B/W. Its not going down. Sales will be 18mil-21mil lifetime. (if pokemon Z doesn't come intill 2015)

In an ideal world it should... not happening though... Lifetime maybe... GTA is even more casual than pokemon.

Pokemon is surprisingly competitive online. alot harder than most games. its in the fighting game tier in terms of competitive play difficulty

GTAV's first week is 17.5M anyway.

Edit: And funny you say that - X/Y preorder numbers are 35% that of B&W.
