was Final Fantasy X HD not at 60 FPS + 1080p or close to it? If it's not that makes the purchase a bit more difficult especially without last mission if it's not included. Though I still might get it for X-2's international content.

I think I heard the demo was essentially the demo for it when it originally came out 10+ years ago (Zanarkand)

I'm excited for the new controllers rumble triggers they seem neato!

TitanFall runs on SOURCE? Damn, those guy must know the engine inside-out to make the game looking THAT good *_*

It wasn't clear, the performance certainly wasn't hugely impressive, the textures didn't look that upgraded and there were a few hints of lag that were never present in the original. I have been playing the KH remake recently and it was no where near as impressive as that, but I stil wanted to play it more than the Lightning Returns booths next to it. The cut scenes looked great, but they didn't look mindblowing like they used to.

Bare in mind, I was sitting about 1 meter away from a 40" screen, so it will look much better in the home

The demo was basically just the start of the game, which isn't the quickest and a really bad demo for the game.

Here are my thoughts.. went on Thursday.

Note: some of these game views were off screen, some will be running on old demos and many of the games are not finished and not showing the final game and will definitely change/improve.

Many of the stands downstairs were 18 and in hidden booths, so unfortunately you had to queue to actually get to see the games rather than peering/looking over someones shoulder.. very disappointed because some of the queues were massive and not worth the 1-2 hour wait. The MS stands were pretty much enclosed for each game due to over 18 in a non 18 section.. seemed like a smaller area than Sony's. Sony's stand was open plan for part of it, which meant you could see certain games, but for Killzone that was enclosed (so you couldn't see it from walking around).

Oculus: They were running the new HD headsets. I played war thunder but was on a device that was slightly blurry when moving your head left and right. It was pretty impressive regardless of the blurriness. It was my first taste of OR so i don't know how much of an improvement it was, but the person i went with had a dev kit of the SD version and said it was much better.

Many Games in general area - Were running on PC

TitanFall - Massive Queue - Didn't bother :) - looked fun. Had to be one of the biggest queues about.

Battlefield - XboxOne - Looked pretty good, but had some low res textures/Particles, close up pop-in and the odd clunky movement.

Forza - Looked great from a distance, actually had a chance to play as it was one of the few short lines in the xbox games. Pretty clean/sharp, could feel it was next gen, were some low res ground textures that were annoying though and strangely enough AA issues in the menus. Couldn't figure out to change the camera [doh] so was driving in-car.

DriveClub: couldn't get right up close, but looked ok.. there was a bit of stuttering around every 45 seconds + or so.. but I was told that this was an older demo (maybe E3?). Didn't like the social pop-up's really quite annoying.

Beyond: Didn't play but watched other people. Looks graphically great, but did seem like a lot of cutscene type graphics in the bit that I saw... but I think this may have been the demo thats been circulating now.

GT6 - Looked really nice on the screens - with a bit more sharpness and better AA this would have looked pretty close to next gen Forza/Driveclub. Was pretty impressed.

WatchDogs - Big queue for an enclosed section in the over 18s section.... from what I could see through the curtain, it was either a game presentation from a member of staff or a video. Considering the issues with the last video we saw on WD, wouldn't surprise me if this was because they still have some issues to fix with it such as flickering shadows/lights/water problems.

Dying light - this was running on PC, it was a special demo in a confined area in the game world. Looked great except for when you get attacked close up by a zombie and it starts to get all blurry (not sure if this is the effect they are going for)...

Assassins Creed, they seemed to have two sections, PC and PS4. I was close-ish to the PS4 version and it looked really nice...certainly one of the better looking next gen games that I saw, which was slightly surprising.

Wolfenstein - Was running on PC...looked absolutely gorgeous - really nice and bright/sharp. Looked like oldschool shooter, certainly interested in this game.

Elderscrolls - looked like elder scrolls. Graphically seemed ok, but the new 1st person mode looks like it could add a lot of value to the game.

Need for Speed Rivals - graphically looked brilliant and was certainly doing a lot on screen.

Not a lot else to report really. I enjoyed the show, but the queues were just awful and I wasn't prepared to queue for two hours for 5 mins on a game I was likely to get anyway. My only concern i guess so far is that it has not yet removed my worry that the start of next gen is not going to be as good as I hoped it would be... and yes the games will definitely improve over the next year or so, I guess so far I am not as excited as i was. With companies rushing out multiple versions of the same games, I am not sure they are going to do the best job possible.

So not much useful information in that lot, but still :)

Wut? Crysis...1?

The game was ahead of its time

Not that far ahead! Doesn't hold a candle to more recent games in my opinion, even games on the PS3 and 360.

It wasn't important enough to me to queue, it was on the list of games I wanted to play. Yeah, I agree, but I don't really play them either, so i was hoping to offer graphics. NfS Rivals was fun and looked good, but that was a completely different type of driving

I know I'm not being very useful, but I can't tell you much about Kinect other than I thought the guy playing it looked like an idiot... I didn't see this booth until close to the end when I was kind of rushing to get a a chance to play 1 final game

So right now everything is as expected... Sony 1st parties are fantastic, MS won't bother and Kinect I don't care much and for what I want I'll just upgrade my move, too bad... But at least on MS fan could gives us his impression on the games, there shall be someone who really played them here.

I don't really know if Sony first parties are fantastic, I only got to play Killzone and watch people play Knack and Drive Club demos I have seen before. The way that the M$ booth was arranged was that it was mostly queues, so you couldn't see as much. They also didn't use the same amount of space as Sony, though they quite possibly had the same number of booths, Sony used their's inneficiently.

There were plenty of people queuing for the M$ games, so there must be someone...

Well at least for some Sony 1st parties have been great (me included) and I believe for PS4 will be the same.

And we'll have someone from MS front showing sooner or later to talk about their experience.

I argee they are fantastic in generality, I just didn't see that much at the conference

You are not the only.

Well the people will say I'm biased but what happen here is that GT6 is more polished than Forza 5 and DriveClub... have a good AA (for a PS3 games) and so even with worst IQ the game looks close/better than Forza 5/DriveClub.

The biggest issues with Forza 5/DriveClub right now is that the first lacks AA (no AA is being used in Forza 5 in the last build... instead they are using a lot of motion blur that I don't like) and DriveClub used a really bad AA and so they are using a new AA to try to fix that (not released yet).

It is know Forza is not finished and it will be finished with the Day 1 patch... so Turn 10 will have more 1 month to work after the retail part get GOLD. DriveClub is in the same boat... they are finishind the game right now, so they have more 1 month at max.

I will play all these games in Oct 25... I'm hope for a new and better build from all.

I think it was 1080P. From what I saw the textures definitlely have that extra level of clarity but I wouldn't expect miracles. A definite improvement over the upscaled PS2 version I played (I have an old B/C PS3) though.

And the new rumble triggers are a definite plus! Will probably get an X1 controller for my PC (as long as devs make use of the rumble features).

I was thinking about this part... I don't know I get used to the lag... I think I will fell weird.

Haha same here. I actually liked the "heavier" feel of Killzones. Shadow Fall seems to be a big change. Gameplay, mechanics, scope, design all seem to be highly changed since 2&3 and I'm actually less and less inclined to buy it until a price drop, or if a demo will blow me away.

Well the weapons still has a heavy feel to it (turning still takes a little longer than the average FPS), but overall responsiveness is definitely up. I noticed some actually had a bit of difficulty adapting to the extra sensitivity, but that plus the 60FPS are definite pluses in my book.
