Here are my thoughts.. went on Thursday.
Note: some of these game views were off screen, some will be running on old demos and many of the games are not finished and not showing the final game and will definitely change/improve.
Many of the stands downstairs were 18 and in hidden booths, so unfortunately you had to queue to actually get to see the games rather than peering/looking over someones shoulder.. very disappointed because some of the queues were massive and not worth the 1-2 hour wait. The MS stands were pretty much enclosed for each game due to over 18 in a non 18 section.. seemed like a smaller area than Sony's. Sony's stand was open plan for part of it, which meant you could see certain games, but for Killzone that was enclosed (so you couldn't see it from walking around).
Oculus: They were running the new HD headsets. I played war thunder but was on a device that was slightly blurry when moving your head left and right. It was pretty impressive regardless of the blurriness. It was my first taste of OR so i don't know how much of an improvement it was, but the person i went with had a dev kit of the SD version and said it was much better.
Many Games in general area - Were running on PC
TitanFall - Massive Queue - Didn't bother :) - looked fun. Had to be one of the biggest queues about.
Battlefield - XboxOne - Looked pretty good, but had some low res textures/Particles, close up pop-in and the odd clunky movement.
Forza - Looked great from a distance, actually had a chance to play as it was one of the few short lines in the xbox games. Pretty clean/sharp, could feel it was next gen, were some low res ground textures that were annoying though and strangely enough AA issues in the menus. Couldn't figure out to change the camera [doh] so was driving in-car.
DriveClub: couldn't get right up close, but looked ok.. there was a bit of stuttering around every 45 seconds + or so.. but I was told that this was an older demo (maybe E3?). Didn't like the social pop-up's really quite annoying.
Beyond: Didn't play but watched other people. Looks graphically great, but did seem like a lot of cutscene type graphics in the bit that I saw... but I think this may have been the demo thats been circulating now.
GT6 - Looked really nice on the screens - with a bit more sharpness and better AA this would have looked pretty close to next gen Forza/Driveclub. Was pretty impressed.
WatchDogs - Big queue for an enclosed section in the over 18s section.... from what I could see through the curtain, it was either a game presentation from a member of staff or a video. Considering the issues with the last video we saw on WD, wouldn't surprise me if this was because they still have some issues to fix with it such as flickering shadows/lights/water problems.
Dying light - this was running on PC, it was a special demo in a confined area in the game world. Looked great except for when you get attacked close up by a zombie and it starts to get all blurry (not sure if this is the effect they are going for)...
Assassins Creed, they seemed to have two sections, PC and PS4. I was close-ish to the PS4 version and it looked really nice...certainly one of the better looking next gen games that I saw, which was slightly surprising.
Wolfenstein - Was running on PC...looked absolutely gorgeous - really nice and bright/sharp. Looked like oldschool shooter, certainly interested in this game.
Elderscrolls - looked like elder scrolls. Graphically seemed ok, but the new 1st person mode looks like it could add a lot of value to the game.
Need for Speed Rivals - graphically looked brilliant and was certainly doing a lot on screen.
Not a lot else to report really. I enjoyed the show, but the queues were just awful and I wasn't prepared to queue for two hours for 5 mins on a game I was likely to get anyway. My only concern i guess so far is that it has not yet removed my worry that the start of next gen is not going to be as good as I hoped it would be... and yes the games will definitely improve over the next year or so, I guess so far I am not as excited as i was. With companies rushing out multiple versions of the same games, I am not sure they are going to do the best job possible.
So not much useful information in that lot, but still :)
