When someone speaks positively of something or discusses things they dislike in an honest manner I enjoy the conversation.

When someone seeks to be intentionally negative to the extreme or tries to defend something about a game they like to the point of being dishonest.i get turned off.

This is the Game of Thrones

I have debated with both in the past but it's simply not as interesting as some of the stuff Nintendo fans come up with. I don't see many Sony fans with unrealistic Vita predictions, and PS4 will do well. Where did I say MS and Sony fans didn't do the same?

Edit - Not talking about Tbone, he actually seems quite grounded when it comes to predicting. Talking about 340 million WiiU's and things like WiiU winning the generation.

You haven't met Gilgamesh have you?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Why can't we name names?

Its pretty obvious why. Ill give you an example.

Random user - "I fucking hate that ps3-sales! What a troll!"

This would piss you off and likely cause un-needed confrontation in the thread. Not naming people just really lowers the chances of things like this happening. Its a good thing to have for a thread like this, where users can essentially rant abut what pisses them off about other users.

Why would a fact piss me off?

Fanboys are the biggest turn off, obviously... I hate how they can't say anything positive about other companies.

Small world.  She lives in Cynthiana, Kentucky which is out in the sticks near where I work and all.

I think my biggest turn off is the "broken record". I try not to fall into this and not repeat myself, but I see some users who if you follow the forums will just keep stating a line over and over. This is often from the school of thought "say a lie, say it long enough and enough times, and it becomes true".

My favorite members are ones who can admit their preferences, see them for preferences and not gospel. These people tend to get along easy and hold to more objective line of reasoning. I prefer discussion over arguments is main point.
