Well they are finally introducing dedicated servers it seems like. I would like to hear more detail there. The lag, and lag/host compensation was so bad in MW3 and BLOPS2 that it makes me want to throw my controller at the wall. IMO, the biggest issue with the last two games making them far worse than MW1/2

If they can fix that, COD really is a fun pick up and play game that is fast paced, etc.

Add aim assist and you got a gamble shoot casino

Not sure I understand what you are trying to say, but i would prefer that they eliminate auto aim all together in Multiplayer.  All the quickscoping etc.  Gone.  Make it more difficult to shoot down range and sniper rifles will inherently have an advantage without quickscoping.  More recoil etc.

The lag, and lag/host compensation + aim assist meganic working between 100% and 0% assistance. makes it more gamble rather than skill, like quickscope

It's on a clock, that's for sure. People are only going to re-buy the same game so many times before they get sick of it. (See: the declining sales of Apple products.)

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

I wish there were less concentration of sales on so few titles. COD could trade some of those 20m sales and give a couple million to Puppeteer and Rayman Legends

Get Your Portable ID!Lord of Ratchet and Clank

Duke of Playstation Plus

Warden of Platformers

Every trend ends. FPS were the platformers of last gen. They will decline like every other genre has. It's just a fact.

Ah now I get it and I agree.  I almost get the feeling that there is computer assist in the newest BLOPS2 as well.  Sometimes it will be the same host, yet completely different play experiences (getting insta-killed due to lag, etc.).

Of course, Activision would NEVER admit that the game had computer assist ala mario kart, because that would be too non-hardcore and damange that image.  But I really think they are tying to make the game more play friendly to beginners and people with shitty internet connections.

that has to be seen. right now every fps of the ps4/xb1 launch line-up is pre-ordered more often than any other game of another genre.

i believe we will see more open world fps like destiny and games which will combine fps with rpg elements but i don't really believe that fps will sell less on next gen as on this gen compared to all other genres.

In my opinion, Call of Duty is starting to experience what Pokemon experienced in the early 2000's. A definite decline, yes, but one with a bottom still far above what most games can ever hope for.

In no way is it dying, but it is declining.

isn't that the same thing?  either you're growing or your dying?

...don't get me wrong CoD still posts great numbers but having reviewed the VGCz numbers there it seems to me CoD is dying.  i don't think CoD will survive the transition to ps4/xbone.  ..but that's probably okay because destiny looks amazing.  i'm pretty sure that's going to be the next big thing.

There's a big difference between dieing and declining. If CoD were to say sell 1-2M copies on its next installment, then they have an issue. However, if they only sell 1m-2m less of what they are at currently, it isn't so bad.

disagree.  declining == slow death.
