Forums - Nintendo - Reasons to Get WiiFit

Fantastic post Lyngyist (i did that on purpose), i agree on, actually, everything.. believe it or not, even the point about me avoiding brain training for a while and the reason i now play it semi-regularly

my reason to buying it outside those given are very simple
1) I want it (direct result of the other reasons)
2) A hell of a lot of my relatives want it.. i suspect this and Mario Kart will be the incentives that puts a wii into every household of my relatives and extended family..

quite frankly i'm more interested in WiiFit rather than SSBB

Like I said, as long this stuff doesn't become commonplace on every console, go for it.

Why do you care if a game comes out on a console? You don't have to buy it, you know.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Well no shit I don't have to buy it, I just don't want it replacing all the great "hardcore" games that companies are making now.

Ah, ok. Just wondering. So it's because of the development teams would be wasting time with a game like this.

5.) Because your a fat b*st*rd that is too lazy to get off your arse and do real exercise, who'd like to convince yourself that you're getting fit by moving side to side on two weighing machines stuck together with duct tape.

NB/ I actually think Wii Fit is a good idea, and is exactly the direction Nintendo should be going in - although personally I would be bored sh*tless by it within 5 minutes.

some good things lyngyis,i agree it will be very fun and ofcourse it will help us be fit

Nice read Lyngyis.

I see the anti wiifit uproar to be a telling sign of some people's immaturity and elitism (and videogame elitism is the ultimate sign of immaturity)

I see something that's fun, can be enjoyed by everyone and gives you exercise. How could that possibly be something to get angry over?

Not everyone, just like Eyetoy was not fun for everyone. Personally, I don't mind the idea, in fact; I'm all for it, but I do think that WiiFit's appeal is vastly overrated. Its doing well in Japan, and I think it'll do perhaps even better in NA, but Eu/Others will be its weakest territory and really drag down ww sales potential in the long run. I think the key to WiiFit success lies in broad software support, it won't do having just Nintendo develop for it if this thing is gonna skyrocket for real.

my gf wants it.
i want it
i need to loose some pounds (work makes you gain weight)
