That was a real thing too...  It's hilarious how they trick you, with the opening being so intense and awesome... then pointless sidekick!

I used to love that cartoon--at least, I loved the FIVE fucking MINUTES Godzilla appeared in each episode.  Most of the time, it just followed the kids and Godzuki getting into trouble.  Argh.  It was like an unfunny version of Scooby Doo, except they'd just end up calling for G-Money to bail their asses out of trouble at the very end.

I was about to respond to Kasz216 but then I saw where you called Godzilla "G-Money"!  Laughed so hard I have tears coming out of my eyes!!

I remember the 90s one being one of the great disappointments of my childhood (next to Spider-Man and Phantom Menace).

Very hopeful this version see more Godzilla and less annoying human characters (so, an anti-Transformers essentially).

I won't lie, that's what I've always called Godzilla when I'd watch his marathons on Sy-Fy or whatever.  They'd show some goober looking monster tearing up the JDF and I'd be like, "hold up, hold up, G-Money is gonna come and cap your ass."  Talking to the television was part of the fun.

Yeah, I may not remember this right, but i feel like even then it sucked half the time because they'd just need him to lift their sub out of the ocean or something dumb like that, with monsters only appearing every once in a while.

Looks very slow and easily managable. But if it makes a better movie than:

then I'm fine with it.

Easily manageable? How? You know the real Godzilla isn't fazed by missiles, bombs, and the like, right? That's like a person having marshmellows shot at them out of a slingshot. ;)
