it's common sense that that isn't true.

The wont sell the system with out Kinect because it was built to be used with Kinect. Price drop will depend on how well the system sells. Right now demand is high so I don't see it happening any time soon.
The minimum they should do is a year if they don't want to betray early adopters.

Never to late to put up a new poll and add, "updated poll" to the thread.

Depends on how well it sells.
My guess is 2 years, and a re-model after 3-4
It's just that simple.
I think it will be 2 years before they drop the price. Same with Sony. The Current gen's razor blade model cost Sony and Microsoft an arm and a leg; I don't think they want to repeat it. I think Sony and Microsoft will try to add value for the first two years, rather than have a price drop.
march-ish they'll decide with maybe and E3 announcement / release.
...i mean, if xbone sales lag behind the ps4 by as much as i believe they will once the early adopter surge peters out in jan/feb 2014 then MS is going to get worried. they'll pull out kinect and drop the price to $400 or maybe even less.
i'm just saying,. if the NPD numbers release and xbone is sub 100k like wiiU was they are going to freak out. with over half of there current gen sales coming from N. America they can't afford to lose it.
