Because Edge turns 20 this year.  For whatever reason people using commemorate 5, 10, 15, 20 years.  This is how they're commemorating their last 20 years.  

Yeah, I read the thread.  It is still silly.

Why do you feel that it is silly?  What time frame would you prefer?  

Everything.  Video gaming has a pretty short history.  No reason to artificially remove everything before the mid-1990s.

No way 360 deserves two on RRoD alone. Ps1 and ps2 along with N64 in any order should betop 3 (i would probably put N64 in 1) and ps3 and 360 should be one right next to the other (i would put ps3 in front). The highest the 360 should be is 4 at the most. (I didnt own a DC, handheld or GC so i cant say if it should be lower. But with my experience from GC i would definatly put it behind 360)

Short is relative.  You and I both have a short history. By some standards the entire human race has a pretty short history. But looking at a mere portion of history in our lifetimes shows us how far we've come and how far we still have left to go.  This is showing the best game consoles of the last 20 years, and in those 20 years we've come a long way in my opinion.  

Doesn't mean much when you leave out the most influencal period.
