He showed the employees his business card because he didn't have a photo ID. That doesn't excuse the fact that he was being a jerk; he should have had photo ID in the first place.

He didn't use the business card for any of the reasons you listed above. I now believe the issue with you is not that you truly don't get the problem with the Gamestop manager, but that you simply can't admit when you're wrong, so you divert from the issue at hand and resort to ad hominem attacks, like you did with Hibern81. In other words, I don't think you're dumb. I just see that you are incredibly stubborn. I used to be like you. Then I realized that the day I start focusing on getting it right instead of thinking I'm always right is the day I become a better, wiser person. Hopefully you'll see this for yourself someday soon.

If i really wanted to dismiss you I would have told you to read a dictionary when you said contradiction. But I least felt like I could get through to you. Its obvious though that I cant. The point is he gave out his business card. A business cards purpose is to network and get your name, business and contact information out there. You cant reasonable expect that if you give it to someone that they wont give it to someone else because thats its purpose. The moral of the story? dont try to use a business card as proof of ID. Why would he have his card but not ID. My guess is he was just being extremely difficult. There is no deflecting on my end since this is the point ive been making since the begining. You want to talk about being stubborn how about you cant admit you were wrong when you said it was wrong for her to not give her last name?

Uh huh.... kinda like....

"Given your lack of knowledge about customer rights, your inability to put things in context and your terrifying logic regarding privacy, I can see why you are no longer a manager."

And just to really drive my point about the business card do you think it's a legit argument if these situations happen:

Someone asks to borrow car keys with the intent on "trying to impress a girl" and they drive it and hit another car. Your insurance company calls up and you explain to them, "Well, i didn't really think he was going to drive it. I just thought he was going to sit in it and look cool"

Or

Someone asks to borrow your gun for the purpose of "intimidating someone who bullies them." The guy shoots and kills someone and the cops come to interogate you and you explain, "Well, I really only thought he was going to show people he had a gun. I didn't think he would actually use it to send a projectile exploding out of the barrel"

Basically, when something is used for it's purpose you can't claim you didn't expect that to be used for it's purpose.  That is closer to a contradiction than anything she did.

So, I correct you about being required to give out your last name... I point out your hypocrisy. I show the contradiction is his actions.... but I'm the one being stubborn... hmm.... okay

I can't listen to the sound in the video (at work), but I see that she is a reasonably cute woman, and the guy doesn't look nearly as good, so society protocol tells me that the pretty woman is right automatically.

With 0 context, this is my conclusion, unless someone can give me the jist of the conversation.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Giving the customer attitude, insulting him, and threatening to give out his personal information. Happy to see she's been fired.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Shes cute?

Anyway, context is he didnt have picture ID when picking up a paid in full game. He held up the line fore quite a bit (midnight GTAV launch) when he got the game instead of leaving he continued bitching. As he was leaving she made a joke that the camera recorded his name or they could have his business card (to the ones that were behind him waiting) he heard it came back and demanded her information. She obliged and he demanded her last name and wrongfully said she had to give it to him. She said no. He left. Camerman high fived her

Can you point out the insult? Also, you call it giving hom attitude... but theres not much more she can say. He was unreasonable and bitching that policy says he needed an ID. What was she suppose to say to "im never coming back here." Her response is justifiable and appropriate.

what did she threatened to do again? reveal what details? to whom?

Im sorry, why are people saying she is a cunt? You guys come in at the middle of the situation when the situation has already escalated. Multiple people in the crowd talk shit to him on his way out. Sounds like he is a problematic customer. She deserves to get fired over an ass hole customer?

She was fired because she threatened to take His personal information, that he provided as part of the transaction, and give it to a crowd of angry people.  The guy might be a complete fucktard, but you can not do that.  That is borderline criminal, and if she had done it and one of those in line had harassed him or assaulted him, he could sue GS.  Even if he didnt win, im sure GS doesnt want that kind of plublicity.

I'm pretty sure he could sue HER, not gamestop.

What was he bitching about? From what I saw in the video she did nothing wrong.

She didnt threaten anything. She said they could have his business card which had his email or alternatively they had his infornation oncamera
