I still haven't gotten it. Was in Wal Mart yesterday about to buy it but then I changed my mined. Decided to go with Walking Dead for the Vita...but they only had like five Vita games. Left empty handed.
Thing is, this may be the FIRST TIME I've seen oldschoolfool say something positive about anything, ever! That's the greatest endorsement I've ever seen. Will be buying this game from Gamestop today.
I have an issue with the shooting mechanics (dont get me wrong, im loving this game!!)
Ok. First off can we all agree that Max Payne 3 has THE best shooting mechanics in a 3rd person shooter of all time? this is why im slightly disappointed, i used free aim in Max Payne 3 and i was a total beast with it, literally best controls ever and i was praying they would use the exact same mechanics in GTA V
Now in GTA i tried out free aim and i just suck/doesn't feel the same/keep dieing. if you keep out of cover for longer then 2 seconds you get shot >.> i feel like the the only logical way to shoot is to use defualt settings and quickly aim out of cover shoot once or twice then go back into cover or you're gonna get shot
it feels slightly more weighty also this is probably why it feels so different is because when you press L1 (or default L2) it takes like a second to get the reticule out when in max payne you're reticule is always up ready to shoot
also note im talking about free aim, default settings might be good or not idk
oh well...#DEALWITHIT
ALSO, is there a damn way to see the mission bonus objectives BEFORE actually completing the damn mission???!?!? sigh
ALSO on the topic of max payne have yous seen this yet?? AWESOME
I've only put in about 4 hours so far but the main problem I have is it's boring me. The characters are meh, the driving is meh and the radio stations piss me right off. I had GTA V and Saints Row 4 in my hands. I put Saints Row down and got GTA and now I regret it.

If you are playing the 360 version DF states that the 360 version suffers from muddy ground textures. Are those the muddy ones you are seeing?
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)
I think that R* were on point with the size.... There is the ocean floor to explore + there are crazy tunnels under the city. The fact that the map is filled with ridiculous amount of detail and the fact that you are most of the time going around 90mph, I think that the map is huge.
If you dopn't like shooters then I don't think you'll be loving this.
I disliked GTA3 and tried GTA4 anyway because of all the amazing reviews and it was shit (to my taste). Played for about an hour and then traded it back with my friend.
I'll give GTA5 a shot though. Red Dead Redemption was amazing, so I'll give R* the benefit of the doubt. Again.
I quite enjoyed vice city, which is my favourite, and san andreas was good too. Great vibe and target-lock like zelda made it ok to play for me.
Still resisting the hype, patiently waiting for a ps4 version. I hope all the release excitement isn't going to backfire this time as with GTA 4.
The age old pattern with sandbox games, jump in, everything is new, do everything that's fun first, then get left over with the crap a few days later while trying to progress. Same with San Andreas, best in the series for me, yet never finished it.

If Uncharted or the Last of Us was a dynamic open world game it wouldn't look much better. Hardware restrictions.
