Lol at poll options... of course 90% of people will now choose "Just the Xbox One" even though the two consoles are equally capable and will have almost identical performance. Since 90% of people on here are Sony fans anymore.

We know better though. The PS4 and Xbox One are pretty much the same, hardware wise. But I though that we needed those options too, since we live in a free world with kittens with leukemia.

no, ps4 has so much power to blow our pants off and xbox one is/was beta tested in the future

Two consoles are equally capable? Source?

Just as there is no proof that one console is stronger than the other, there is also no basis in claming they are truly equally powerful either. Any claim at this point is just subject to cognitive dissonance and fanboyism. Just as Sony fans sources from "anonymous" or any multiple dev are anecdotal, your words straight out taken from ms's own PR sources are completely invalid.

Interesting though, in mistrrxmedia thread Xbox one fans claimed that a rumour cannot propagate without a cause. What's with a lot of ps4 is more powerful rumour flying around lately? In contrast where are the rumours that claims xbox one to be more powerful? I see some hypocrisy here.

Lets wait for digital foundry analysis or similar shall we? Or is DF itself gonna get shot down by fanboys if they don't get to hear what they are desperate to hear?

I don't care what digital foundry and such say, because they're usually wrong anyhow. When comparing console specs, the fact is that a lot of the stuff in there are just based upon different chips. So DF say that "this chip is better than the other" and such, but it all really depends upon what the console manufacturers are putting into it, and how the system works.

Most people are fairly able to say how powerful a system is by looking at how the best looking games looks on the systems. Also, people have different standars as to how they define good and bad. I personally think that there ain't much of a difference between Xbox One and PS4 because you can barely see a difference between multiplats, and exclusives look good on both of them, good enough for me to say that they are very similar.

Too weak relative to what? Relative to the previous generation, clearly not too weak. The hardware specs, taken as a package are a major upgrade over PS360. Have consoles ever been on par with decent gaming PCs at the time they come out? Never.

And don't forget PS360 games were rarely rock solid in performing at 720p/30fps. There was always some screen tearing or frame rate drops. Even in the superior 360 versions of multiplats the 360 was never rock solid in these performance elements it just has less tearing and not as much framerate drop. So if you can get all games on PS4 and Xb one to achieve at a minimum 720p that have more detail, more going on on screen than PS360 and frame rates that permanently stay above 30fps and zero screen tearing that's a significant improvement. If most games are 720p and 60fps with solid frame rates and no tearing then that's a massive improvement.

Not sure if you watched the video, but what I got from it was that they though that because devs had to cut content because the systems couldn't run it in 720p 60fps and the systems has pc architecture, in other words devs. are already pretty familiar with it, they couldn't get how they expect these consoles to last for 10 years.

I think that you hit the truth of it.  M$ or Sony can say they will lat 10 years all they want.  If they last 5 years it will be a surprise.  Things are changing VERY fast in the last 5 years alone.  Most people here are happy that the systems are a big step up, but they seem to forget the old systems are OLD.  We will probably see many options from tablets within 2 years that match the power of these systems.  If and when this happens, what will the need for them be?  That is why I think that the XB1 offers more long term.  It obviously has a little less under the hood, but when you look at the whole package, you get a lot more.

I'm one of those delusional people who think the Wii U is powerful enough. I think I argued once that it should have been WEAKER to keep prices down. Who am I to downplay the PS4 and One?

Love and tolerate.
