Too weak relative to what? Relative to the previous generation, clearly not too weak. The hardware specs, taken as a package are a major upgrade over PS360. Have consoles ever been on par with decent gaming PCs at the time they come out? Never.

And don't forget PS360 games were rarely rock solid in performing at 720p/30fps. There was always some screen tearing or frame rate drops. Even in the superior 360 versions of multiplats the 360 was never rock solid in these performance elements it just has less tearing and not as much framerate drop. So if you can get all games on PS4 and Xb one to achieve at a minimum 720p that have more detail, more going on on screen than PS360 and frame rates that permanently stay above 30fps and zero screen tearing that's a significant improvement. If most games are 720p and 60fps with solid frame rates and no tearing then that's a massive improvement.

Not sure if you watched the video, but what I got from it was that they though that because devs had to cut content because the systems couldn't run it in 720p 60fps and the systems has pc architecture, in other words devs. are already pretty familiar with it, they couldn't get how they expect these consoles to last for 10 years.

I think that you hit the truth of it.  M$ or Sony can say they will lat 10 years all they want.  If they last 5 years it will be a surprise.  Things are changing VERY fast in the last 5 years alone.  Most people here are happy that the systems are a big step up, but they seem to forget the old systems are OLD.  We will probably see many options from tablets within 2 years that match the power of these systems.  If and when this happens, what will the need for them be?  That is why I think that the XB1 offers more long term.  It obviously has a little less under the hood, but when you look at the whole package, you get a lot more.
