Hi guys!

I have an interesting question. What would your dream Zelda U look and play like?

My list:

- A graphic style that is compelling.  (doesn't have to be tech demo like)

- Big open world again with secrets all over the place. Missed the exploration in SS a lot.

- No crazy transportation ala boat or bird or train..... I want a freaking Horse! Wanna explore land masses!

- Gamepad features that show us what intentions Nintendo had for it!

- A companion like Midna again or no companion at all.

- Exploring Hyrule how ever you want. Meaning if you find a dungeon go into it. No linear experience anymore.

- Perfect and innovative Miiverse intergration.

- Set in the child timeline.

- Of course a hero mode or something like it.

- A story and cinematic experience that stays with you like Skyward Sword.

- Godlike orchestrated Soundtracks.

- DLC that is meaningful!

- No motion control sword/shield gameplay! Aiming - no problem, Gamepad is perfect for it.

- The NPC's should look serious again (atleast majority of them) I don't need freaky faces all over the place like in SS.

- Some creepy places again.

- Sprinting from SS should come back.

- More RPG elements.

- 5 heart pieces again for one container.

- Magic Spells that are useful.

- Swimming and diving with no freaking iron boots or other suits.......

Damn, what a huge list. I'm ready to be dissapointed! :D

So what do YOU want???

Around the Network

A sex scene between Link and (male) Sheik.

2D game like A Link to the Past, with a big explorable world map and graphics like these in full HD.

- Updated combat. Something like Batman: Arkham Asylum
- Unique dungeons. Enough "forest temples" and "fire temples." New temples with new ideas. And I mean NEW. Something like Braid, Lost in Shadow, etc. etc. new concepts.
- More open world
- New weapons, not just one or two, but almost entirely new
- PREFERABLY Wind Waker art style, but I think people want to see the OOT art style
- Online multiplayer
- Voice acting

The issue is I don't see how Zelda can be that revolutionary anymore. Nintendo is going to have to spice it a lot for the Wii U. Zelda has always been one of my favorite series (Wind Waker is in my top 10, and I have played OOT once a year since I beat it in 1999, not lying), but it is becoming stale.

i dont want to skip pages and pages of text for each item you find. I don't care if it's the freaking triforce, a rupee, or something i've never seen in my life. Just let me play!

After that. i'd like the ability to jump really far! Like incarian flight far!

Beyond that:
horses
realism
openworld
dual analog
touch inventory
no beeping noise
money making game

  • If there is a sidekick, only make him/her speak on cutscenes, don't interrupt my gameplay.
  • Don't remind me what the collectibles are after I turn off the game
  • A huge world to explore with losts of secrets
  • Make upgrading items useful, so most lost potential in SS
  • Make items useful throughout the entire game *cough* slingshot *cough*
  • Use the tech demo graphics
  • Orchestrated music
  • No backtracking (unless for collecting heart pieces and collectibles obviously)
  • Make it as nonlinear as possible
  • Kill Tingle

Nintendo and PC gamer

Steampunk mature developed by Retro or no wait the Darksiders team with multiplayer and online leaderboards and full merican voice acting also awesome FMV quicktime battles.

Did I forget anything awful?

If you think about it, that doesn't really go together. You want a deep, meaningful world you get to know better while playing and exploring? There's bound to be backtracking. If you only speed through every area once, nothing has the time to grow on you.

Skyward Sword was incredible in that regard.

Is it too much to ask for Link Between Worlds and Windwaker HD to have their spot in the limelight first? As someone who loves Zelda games (especially the storylines since they released Hystoria which I own) I really am looking forward to Windwaker HD since I've never really played the original gamecube one. And considering Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda game ever (not my most highly graded one, but my favorite nonetheless) I'm OBSESSED with there being a sequel to it with an amazing new story! Once these games have been out for a couple months, THEN will I start wanting to think about Zelda U.

I'll let them make the game they want and then decide if i want to give them money for it. Cool :)
