Hey folks! I'd like to know just how many of you can game exclusively on one platform for an entire generation (or generations from a single platform provider). I personally can't do it. I love Sony's offerings but I also love Nintendo's stuff, so at the very least I would get a 3DS (but some don't count handheld systems as deviating, but still ... I plan on getting a Wii U anyway). I understand there are some 'purists' here so it would be interesting to see just how many people here adhere to a specific platform. So dudes .... one box to rule them all or do you need a combination to satisfy your gaming needs? If you can game exclusively from one provider ... why is that?

I prefer a mix, although not until late into a generation, Playstation consoles keep me satisfied for a very long time.

I don't see how anyone can only game on 1 platform. You just miss too many games being confined to a single platform. Sure people try to justify only being able to get one but it doesn't change how limited your options are.

For me its Wii U and a PC this gen. With PS4 and X1 being X86 based I am waiting for the eventual emulator to come out for both so I can get what few games I cant get on Wii U and PC through that without being forced to pay for something that should be free.

Sounds like me. I secure the Playstation first and complement it with Nintendo's stuff later. However, since the last Nintendo home console I owned was the GC, I intend to get the Wii U this year. The Wii was not my cup of tea, but I missed playing Nintendo games.

PC and Nintendo. Everything else can wait.

If you ever come across a guy with a Master Chief display pic by the name of Sales, run that sentiment by him. lol

That's not one platform...it's just every non-Sony platform.

Funny enough, the Nintendo dudes are the most hardcore I've seen - at least in my home country. They seem content with only playing on the Nintendo stuff.
