*im not saying the the OP fuck you or anyone. but i been waiting to use this gif for months!*

You know whats tired, is that after about 2 pages no one actually tried to argue the point of the thread but instead we get your type of comment.  I am not concerned about who is more powerful than what, but I like to understand all the intricate hardware details and what is actually available for developers.  What threads like this need is less of your type of post and more constructive post on the OP.

Oh well, you will probably whine about Xbox fanboys being desperate and all that crap.  basically the same fanboy rethoritc you so criticze

The problem Mach is that this very topic has been argued to death elsewhere and virtually no one on here has any actual tech knowledge to be able to explain this nor the knowledge to actually understand it before they post a new topic about it. Even if they do, they can't prove it and it just turns into a he said-she said battle. This isn't about discussion. This isn't about people coming to actually learn anything. This is about some people not wanting to let things go because for all their talk of specs not being important they just want so badly to have someone tell them that their preferred machine is more powerful, facts be damned. If you really want the intricate details I'm pretty sure you already realize you're in the wrong place, which is an internet forum about video games which will be loaded with fanboys. Each looking to just post whatever shoves a stick up the ass of the other one. You're not really going to learn anything here when it comes to hardware details and how exactly all this stuff works. I'd recommend going to places that simply discuss stuff like that outside of using it as leverage for a pathetic genital measurement contest which involves genitals that aren't even theirs but for some very strange reason they're proud of the penis they brought along.

No no, the math is all wrong!

Everyone knows the correct formula is length times diameter plus weight over girth divided by angle of the tip squared!

Hmm, so it appears that 90% of the people commenting in here just came in to break the forum rules. Good God, if I reported everyone that were breaking the rules in a positive Xbox One thread, I'd never have time to do anything else...

I'm sick and tired of "Oh this again?" "So desperate." "Just came here to laugh lol" "Another one of these?!" ...

OT: Great summary. I really can't wait for the games to come out and show these machines are equally capable. You won't see any games really standing out other than one or two exclusives of each platform, and even then it will take years to max out the capabilities.

Do you think it could be like homophobes?  The most anti gay are often turn out to be in the closeted themselves?

That some of these people who relentless post negative things on Xbox One threads might have a secret Kinect hidden somewhere in their closet?  On special nights, they close all the windows, lock all the doors, and secretly set up and play Dance Central in the nude till they fall exhausted, but more toned.

Then through their tears they shovel mouthfuls of ice cream, one after another, until no one could tell they were actually enjoying exercising?

Perhaps it's their inner fears that they might really like and Xbox One.  Plus with it's HDMI In feature, it would play nicely with their PS4.   They could truly find happiness in multiple consoles, and the world would be a brighter, happier place.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

That must be the Earl Hebner from WWE Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain. He always reversed every move you tried on him.

This topic has not been talked about.  The topics were the dGPU which was nix by MS.  The topic on bandwidth and how the X1 can reach the peak of 209GBs MS stated has not been discussed.  Its a interesting topic because of the design decisions MS put into the ESRAM.  Why split the memory into 4 8MB chips.  Is this something to do with with how MS believe textures and data should be loaded into the ESRAM.  Can all 4 be used as one contigous block or is it more efficient to use each one individually.  If both can read and write at the same time how does this help developers manage data.  Does MS has tech within DirectX that is more efficient with this design decision.  Is the usage of Tiled Resources better with this design.  There are a host of questions that are directly revelant to the OP that isn't about fanboys holding on to secrete sauce or not being able to realize the Power of the PS4.

There is a lot to the design of the ESRAM that no one as of yet has a solid idea why MS designed it this way.  I have some thoughts of my own but I entered this thread to see any anyone had any thing to add or have any reason to debunk.  Instead you get the same tired responses from people who favor a different console.  Its these types of comments that derail a topic into what we have now, Penis size.

Its probably more my fault.  Having a more technical background and being at the age I am at now, I get no enjoyment from off topic banter anymore.  I am always seeking for better understanding of certain technical topics and my expectations of threads like this need to be way lowered.

I really don't see what the issue is here. PS3 was more powerful than 360 but that didn't seem to bother M$ fans or hurt the 360s sales, in fact just the opposite. But now all of a sudden they have to nit-pick every little detail of each console to try to get their e-peens just a little bit bigger than the other guys'?

There weren't many Xbox fans back then (24million Xbox sold vs 100+million PS2 as of 2006), there was a year gap and also 360 held it's own with a better GPU, Unified memory and the Edram which helped it have the better multi plat games most of the time. With Xbone so far it looks like the PS4 has it beat on all fronts that really matter except a small deficit in processor speed so not only will PS4 have the better looking exclusives (like PS3 did) it will also have better looking multplats (like 360), basically a complete whitewash. But time will tell if the Xbone is as efficient and well balanced as MS say, maybe in the furture the top developers will be able to do something really fancy using ESRAM, SHAPE, Move Engines and Azure Cloud which can't be done as well on the PS4.

Personally I wish the money MS spent on developing and marketing Kinect and Kinect 2 was instead spent on setting up triple AAA studios and a more powerful Xbon One hardware especially the GPU.

Yes, it has been discussed. It has been brought up on these forums before and it has been argued about on other forums like NeoGAF. This may be news to you but that doesn't mean it wasn't discusssed before.

Seriously dude, it has. Go find any thread with ethomaz in it and you'll see it.  It's also been said and explained why 176gb/s > 1000gb/s (From Cerny's lecture/slides as to why embedded ram shouldn't be used for game development.)  Microsoft hasn't said anything as to why using embedded ram is better for gaming, because it's not.  It's a bandaid solution that was more or less better used before when memory bandwidth in graphic systems were small (PS2 has a higher video bandwidth than the PS3 for instance).  It's also why MS PR folk insist on adding the ram bandwidth together, cause you know, the system ram makes the embedded ram faster by magic.  There will always be a bottle neck with the embedded ram cause you can't squeeze 5 gigs of data into 32megs.

Too add a bit more, I recall arguing personally in this forum about why the 32 megs of eSram ram was a terrible idea vs eDram in the Xbox manufacturing issue thread... which ethomaz was also discussing the hardware in.

This thread is what albert said but just regurgetated with a bit of an opinion from fallen... how does it qualify for its own thread and not juust a comment in that thread? Im surprised its gotten this big and it should have been locked before it got to two pages (when i reported it)
